Bitcoin (BTC) has kicked off today’s session with mild gains, recording an increase in valuation of 0.5% to take BTC’s price to $30,431 as of press time as bulls push for the $31K mark.
Bitcoin has a current trading volume of $17B, representing a 10% increase within 24 hours as the market cap stood at $591B. Bitcoin’s volatility levels are also still high as the Bollinger bands drift further away from each other.
The relative strength indicator, still moving close to the overbought region, is above its average line as bulls dominate the asset’s network. The MACD indicator, currently above its average line, is moving strongly, demonstrating the bull dominance of Bitcoin.
Altcoin analysis
Ethereum (ETH) is also sitting on a slow start to today’s session, as the asset recorded a mild decrease of 0.26% within a day of trading to take its price to $1863 as of press time. Ethereum’s trading volume has dropped by 5% to reach $8B, as the market cap currently stands at $224B.
Other altcoins are having a rather turbulent session, as Cardano (ADA), after seeing a 24-hour drop in the valuation of 0.5%. ADA’s trading volume has, however, gained 2%, taking it to $239M as the asset now trades at $0.2789.
Compound (COMP) is on a promising trend today as the asset now sits on a 10% gain to place it on CoinmarketCap’s trending list. Training at $42.7, COMP has a trading volume of 108.10M as the market cap currently stands at 327.82M.
Storj is another notable gainer today as the asset now sits on a 1.5% gain within a day of trading to take the asset’s price to $0.272. Storj’s current trading volume stands at $9M, representing a 56% increase as the market cap also stood at 110M as of press time.
Another notable gainer for the day is Ben (BEN), ranking in fifth trending after seeing a 13% gain within 24 hours of trading to take its price to $0.00000008188 and with a trading volume of 4.69M as per CoinMarketCap stats.
