- ARK has launched the ARK Website 2.0
- Usability improvements include better audience segmentation and dynamic roadmap
- The website is also much faster than before and more SEO-friendly
More distinct core values and better audience segmentation
The website now reflects six core values first mentioned in the updated 2019 edition ARK whitepaper: simplicity, security, speed, scalability, sovereignty and support. This should make the project’s vision clear for anyone, including the users new to ARK.
Another new feature aimed at making it more simple for users to understand how ARK ecosystem works is the improved user segregation. Because both developers, newcomers and ARK fans will visit the website, it has two distinct sections – the User Hub and Developer Hub with content tailored to the needs of each of these two groups of users.
ARK gets straight to the point
One of the main goals the team has achieved with the 2.0 Website is to make visitors stay on website for as long as possible. In order to make this plan come true, the developers have integrated data from external websites, such as GitHub, for example, directly into the 2.0 Website interface. The data changes dynamically, keeping the visitors up-to-date.
Another element that has been reworked and is now capable of refreshing its data is the roadmap. Contrary to most other projects’ roadmaps, this one consists of detailed sub-tasks with percentage-progress system that allows visitors to track the development rate of different ARK components directly from the website. The roadmap can also be filtered by project’s status (exploratory or planned, in development or completed).
ARK drastically more SEO friendly now
Not only did the usability of the website improve, but also its speed and Search Engine Optimisation. The 2.0 version makes a good use of the latest technologies, such as modern image formats, lightweight CSS framework and Laravel framework for back-end, making the website more efficient. As a result, Google PageSpeed rating of ARK Website has improved from 78% to 100% on desktop and from 28% to 90% on mobile.
Thanks to the analytical approach, SEO metrics have improved as well. For example, a full keyword analysis was carried out before the start of content creation. What’s more the pages were optimally structured to improve engagement rates, ensuring that the content is relevant for visitors.
