According to a post published in ARK’s official blog on September 27, 2019, the project has updated its whitepaper in a major and somewhat original way. While the whitepapers of other projects are usually static text documents, ARK’s one is a group of webpages complete with hyperlinks. According to the developers, this solution brings significant benefits.
Improving User Experience
In the same blog post, ARK’s team outlined key benefits that the change in whitepaper brings:

- Improved mobile-friendliness – The ARK developers are keen to point out that the size of the document makes it hard to read it on mobile devices. By splitting the single large document into much smaller pages, it is made more convenient for mobile users.
- Live links – The interactive whitepaper is full of clickable links that redirect users to various resources (GitHub, for example). This makes it possible for the whitepaper to stay relevant without being edited for much longer.
- Faster navigation – Thanks to the wide usage of anchor links, readers can be quickly redirected to a part of whitepaper they’re interested in.
- Better structured content – The ARK team saw a perfect opportunity to improve the contents of the whitepaper in the update. The project claims that the readability of the document has been improved without altering the important parts.

Check Your Knowledge of Ark and Earn Ark
The team decided to celebrate the release of the improved whitepaper by launching a contest. It is a quiz that allows anyone to earn ARK tokens by completing it. The exact amount of tokens a participant receives depends on the total number of participants and the correct answer count.
1000 ARK (worth approximately 168 USD at the time of writing) were provided by delegate ‘Jarunik’ specifically for this campaign. Tokens will be awarded via Delegate Cryptology’s ARKTippr Reddit Tip Bot. It will be possible to earn ARK this way until October 31, 2019. The tokens will be distributed shortly after.
