- Brave has partnered with Sliver.tv/Theta to runs ads
- Brave ads will run on Theta network while Theta ads will run on Brave browser
- Both platforms feature a rewards system
Brave is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing companies within the blockchain space as the privacy-centric browser has amassed a record number of users and has also been running a very successful at Brave verified publisher program which allows their users to opt-in to view ads and also allows advertisers to have access to a willing and enthusiastic audience.
Their advertising platform has partnered with firms such as the Los Angeles Times and also GitHub but on July 17, 2019, was announced that Sliver.tv along with the Theta network have joined forces with the Brave browser to become a verified publisher and in exchange, Brave also become a sponsor on Sliver.tv and will run their ads alongside top streamers on the platform.
Sliver, Theta, and Brave
The brave browser rewards users with 70 percent of the ad revenue in the form of their Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) and Sliver.tv has 3 million monthly users and will now be exposed to the Brave platform.
The first phase of this partnership will begin with a joint marketing campaign between the two firms with ads for the Brave browser appearing on Sliver.tv and sliver.tv/Tether network ads appearing on the Brave browser simultaneously. This is a beneficial partnership as users for Brave already familiar with blockchain and will be directed to Sliver.tv, where they can earn TFUEL rewards for relaying video streams and users that are already used to the TFUEL reward system, will be referred to the Brave platform that also hosts a reward system.
Brave will also become the official supported browser for relaying videos on the Theta network and so users can earn BAT rewards from Brave browser and also TFUEL rewards from the Theta network. This goes to show just how dynamic and widely used the system of digital rewards has become and it is interesting to see Brave partner with a firm that already shares their values.
As Brave continues to expand on its platform and partnerships, it is indicative of the changing narrative among content use platforms as there is more of a culture of users being rewarded for their content and not being bombarded with unwanted ads which are in contrast to the previous behavior recorded by various firms who have exploited user data and repeatedly harassed their user base with unwanted ads.
