- Misha Lederman updates the community about forthcoming updates to the blockchain ecosystem.
- TRON developers hard at work to implement zk-SNARKS
- Users will be able to trade unused bandwidth in exchange for $BTT tokens
The TRON project has stood out of the crowd from its inception, hitting remarkable milestones and carrying every member of their community along on the platform’s growth and achievements.
This week Misha Lederman, one of the key persons on the project and also the co-founder of IAmDecentralized.org reveals what the project has in store in coming weeks till the second quarter (Q2) of 2019.
Steady upgrades
The announcement made by Misha Lederman shows upcoming events by the TRON foundation as it relates to their blockchain platform. And these events are to be released in progression between now and June 2019.
Four major developments for #TRON in coming weeks & months of Q2:
1. BitTorrent Speed, $BTT
2. Institutional-friendly multi-signature & account management
3. USDT-TRON stablecoin launch on #TRX blockchain
4. Implementing privacy option for transactions#IAmDecentralized$TRX

Highlighting these events, first of all, is further improvement on BitTorrent’s platform. The platform is transitioning from a centralized state to decentralized, making it a more preferred platform after its acquisition by TRON. This has driven its user base way up. This incredible growth also means there is a continuous need to cater to all these users as the platform grows.
Therefore, TRON is rolling out the BitTorrent Speed program to incentivize their community with $BTT tokens as compensation for their available bandwidth contributed to building a stronger ecosystem. In addition to that, and as previously mentioned by the founder himself, Justin Sun, the team would roll out multi-signature wallets along with account management features that will benefit institutional investors.
The project teams are also putting resources together to ensure the launch of the USDT-TRON stablecoin which will run on the TRON blockchain.
As previously announced, the partnership between TRON and Tether is to see the creation of USDT (a dollar pegged stablecoin) on the TRON network. In Justin Sun’s words, this move will “benefit our entire ecosystem and make it easier for institutions to access the blockchain.”
Privacy a Priority
Out of all the upcoming improvements, one of the most important, and the most anticipated in the community is to see the implementation of zk-SNARKS, which gives platform users the option of better and more secure privacy on transactions which runs on the TRON blockchain network.
Justin Sun had earlier elaborated on why this needs to be implemented. In his opinion, he says tech giants are fond of manipulating user data on their platforms, generating revenue which they do not share with their users. But with the zk-SNARKS protocol implemented on the blockchain, users can rest assured data generated is protected and private.
