- VeChain’s Accelerator Program will help software architects build more practical solutions on the blockchain
- The Program aims to make all participants in the program self-sufficient
- VeChain Foundation continues to create support programs to boost adoption
The VeChain Foundation recently announced the introduction of the Accelerator Program. The project is expected to increase activity on the VeChain MainNet and boost the adoption of their blockchain.

According to the announcement on their official Medium page on June 7, 2019, the Accelerator program is a VeChain Foundation sponsored project that will that ensure projects on their blockchain get the extensive support in developing their products and services. Projects running on the VeChain Thor blockchain are eligible for this program. The Foundation’s announcement read as follows:
“We are officially introducing our Accelerator Program. This program will provide the support needed for projects as they progress to becoming a successful business built on the VeChainThor Blockchain.”
The Accelerator program is intended to make all parties in the ecosystem self-sufficient meaning there will be much more than the initial funding. Apart from the bounty program, the Accelerator program will provide the much-needed support for the projects as they progress to become successful projects on the blockchain. The selected projects will receive exposure to “business leads, incubation, investment opportunities, market awareness, technical support, and professional services.”
Those who are eligible are developers or startups that already have a project and want to build their solutions on the VeChainThor blockchain and are aiming for mass adoption and looking to create valuable transactions. According to the announcement:
“To be accepted in the Accelerator Program, a project should have assembled a team, formalized the project plan, and developed a PoC preferably, an alpha release.”
A high bar, but worth it
Some details that are required in the application description from interested teams will include project goal, technical details, roadmaps and efforts that the applicants intend to take to reach the goals. Other details include marketing strategies and potential positive impact the project will bring to the VeChain ecosystem. Projects that get rejected will be eligible to try again later.
The Accelerator Program isn’t the first program that VeChain Foundation is launching to support its blockchain’s development this year. During the last VeChain Summit the foundation launched a ToolChain that would allow people to build on their blockchain even if they do not have a strong knowledge of blockchain technology. The ToolChain is an efficient tool that is already being used to launch projects.
