- Craig Steven Wright a.k.a “Faketoshi” has fired shots at Binance and Bitfinex, alleging that both firms fund illegal operations
- CSW claims BTC is only being used for fraudulent activities
- Binance and Bitfinex are yet to respond to Wright’s comments
Craig Steven Wright (CSW), the controversial personality that claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the almighty creator of bitcoin (BTC) and one of the backers of bitcoin SV, has laid a couple of outrageous allegations on Changpeng Zhao’s Binance cryptocurrency exchange and Bitfinex by stating that the funds from both firms are used to fuel illicit activities like prostitution, according to a tweet on May 30, 2019.
Crazy Allegations
According to a short video posted on Twitter by Vin Armani, co-founder of Counter Markets, Craig Wright, the Australian computer programmer who claims to be the maker of bitcoin (BTC) has alleged that 30 percent of the money from leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance funds women in prostitution.
CSW made the comment at the recently held CoinGeek Conference in Toronto, Canada.
In the short video, CSW bad mouthed the world’s flagship distributed ledger technology (DLT) based virtual currency, alleging that BTC has no real use case asides funding illegal activities.
In his words:
“Right now, BTC is still used because of the illegal operations like Binance and Bitfinex and Tether to fund illegal operations pumping money. Illegal money travel, illegal use of people smuggling. Right now, 30 percent of Binance money, funds women in prostitution. 30 percent of Binance Tether funds women in slavery.”
As expected, Wright’s claims have attracted a lot of criticism and backlash on social media, with Peter McCormack, the popular bitcoin podcaster who is also being sued by CSW, labelling him a “Moroninator.”
McCormack tweeted:
.@cz_binance bruv, have you seen what the Moroninator is saying about Binance? https://t.co/Zg2w69JvcG

Another Twitter user with the handle @phuzzzed tweeted:
Enough is enough. This guy is a cancer that needs to be purged. Satoshi or not (he's not) this is not how we do this. This WILL make #Bitcoin stronger.

At press time, neither CZ nor the Bitfinex team has said anything concerning Wright’s harsh comments.
Unending Controversies
CSW has been trying his best to make the world believe he is the real Satoshi and his efforts have yielded some positive results so far even though a vast majority of members of the cryptocurrency industry see him as a fraud.
As reported by Blockchain Reporter on May 22, 2019, Wright filed a copyright for the Bitcoin whitepaper and early code.
Though the U.S Copyright Office made it clear at the time that it’s approval of Wright’s copyright application does not mean the agency endorses the man, the move still boosted the price of CSW’s altcoin, bitcoin SV.
