Swiss Fintech Joint Venture
Gentwo Digital, a company specialising in the securitisation of financial products partnered with blockchain service provider Inacta to form a joint venture in the Swiss city of Zug.
In a statement released recently, Gentwo Digital announced they will be enabling the display of crypto assets as bankable financial products with a Swiss ISIN.
Gentwo Digital also collaborated with Crypto Broker to create the first issuing platform in the world for financial products in the crypto area. Crypto Broker is a member of the Crypto Finance Group.
Targeting Financial Intermediaries
In February of 2018, Patrick Leopfe launched Gentwo Digital, a platform he said is designed to set up specific and customised off-balance sheet emission vehicle for customers. It will enable them to represent customised products independent of banks and manage the products on their own.
This will also provide the highest measure of both flexibility and transparency for the customer minus the issuer risks associated with banks.
Financial products launched by traditional issuers work like a black box where fees and risks eventually mount up, making the product more expensive.
In addition, customers of established issuers are only allowed to pursue personal strategies to a limited extent as a result of the pre-defined structures. Leopfe added:
“We saw a great need for action here, which resulted in the idea and implementation of an independent, flexible, and affordable setup for securitisation and issuance.”
From real estate to art
Leopfe also stated they are targeting all financial intermediaries especially private banks and independent asset managers. However, they are also counting real estate companies and family offices among their target customers.
With their current setup, all non-bankable and bankable assets can be securitised. This includes liquid bonds, art, diamonds, and commodities to crypto investments, to name a few.
In conclusion, Leopfe claims they designed Gentwo Digital as a purpose-oriented organisation that handles and focuses on the real problems and needs of asset managers and their customers.
And he summed it up best when he said, “We make our money by solving problems and not by complicating things.”
