Tezos Community Foundation South Korea has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yonsei University to promote the development of blockchain talents, according to a press release by Tezos on November, 20, 2018.
Tezos Leading the Way
In a bid to foster blockchain technology adoption and further establish South Korea as a DLT superpower, the Digital Society Research Center at Yonsei University in Seoul will collaboratively work with the Tezos Korea Foundation, to develop more blockchain talents in the region.
Specifically, the agreement between entails training of Blockchain and smart contract experts, exchange of results and academic information and blockchain education cooperation.
Commenting on the development, the Director of Tezos Korea Foundation, Mr. Seo Doo-won said that the MoU would enable both parties to “strengthen the expertise of the blockchain and education expertise,” and allow them to “discuss various cooperation opportunities to lead the blockchain field.”
He further noted that the Foundation looks forward to cooperating with Yonsei University in growing critical talents in the Tesoz ecosystem that would, in turn, transform the country’s blockchain industry.
DLT is coming
Park Seon-Joo, director of the Center for Digital Social Studies, Yonsei University, also affirmed that blockchain technology has excellent potential, and he and his team will keep doing their best to make more people join the movement.
“The block-chain industry is a promising field that will lead the next paradigm. We will lead the blockchain industry by nurturing not only computer engineers but also businessmen.”
In September, Blockchain Reporter informed that Tezos had launched own mainnet, making it a fully independent and decentralized blockchain ecosystem.
At press time the price of Tezos native altcoin, XTZ sits at $0.70, with a market cap of $425 million according to CoinMarketCap.
