- TRON has launched the first game on its network, Magic Academy
- Players can buy, sell and trade assets in the game
- The game was developed in conjunction with BitGuild
The Tron Virtual Machine went up on the mainnet on the 30th of August, sparking the beginning of DApps on the Tron network.
While users wait for the TVM to be activated on the 8th of October 2018, Tron’s CEO and co-founder Justin Sun has reached out to them to find out what types of applications they would like to see on the platform.
The suggestions from users seem to have yielded fruit as in a tweet, Justin announced a new development on the platform.

According to the tweet, the world’s first idle blockchain-based game, Magic Academy, is to launch on the network.
Magic Academy
The game will include features that have not been seen before and is an attempt by both TRON and BitGuild to change the way players enjoy and interact with games and in some ways, blur the lines between real life transactions and games.
In upcoming games, users will have the ability to buy, sell and trade game items among themselves.
Magic Academy is the creation of a wide group of game developers from all over the world and in the statement explaining the game, “By buying wizards and upgrade items, you can upgrade the currency in this magic world — your production of Jade. Any Jade you own is a TRC20 Token.”
It was also revealed that Magic Academy was created using the solidity language which is compatible with the Tron mainnet through the TVM. As a result, all the transactions are traceable on the blockchain as they are completed via a Tron wallet.
Games and Coins
There is a significant overlap in the groups of people who make use of cryptocurrency and those who engage in online gaming, which creates a sizable market for both Magic Academy and other blockchain-based games.
