- The VeChain Foundation has successfully launched New Sync and Connex
- VeChain also encouraged developers to create their own apps and help with existing projects
Following the launch of the VeChainThor mainnet, the VeChain Foundation is continuing development to enhance the user experience of VeChain dApps and wallets and make them more user friendly.
In the wake of the mainnet launch, there’s also a GitHub project called Sync. This project is a wallet and a desktop user agent. Sync made VeChain Foundation realize that they still need something new that will allow users to interact with dApps in a way that they were using applications that were not blockchain based. To address this issue, their development team has spent months just to create the New Sync. Today, it is now a dApp running environment and wallet for desktop and is compatible with Connex. It has become a newly defined standard interface that connects dApps with the VeChainThor blockchain and users.
VeChain New Sync v1.0
Users and developers can enjoy a seamless experience offered by New Sync. With this project, they can focus on the content itself instead of understanding how blockchain works. For example, users no longer have to synchronize blockchain data before they use it and the transaction process will also be simplified. It also made it easier for dApps to verify the identity of the user and collect their consent of dApp terms through the certificate of identification and agreement functions.
Besides the Chrome+Comet method to access dApps on the VeChainThor blockchain, New Sync also offers its users another option. New Sync has an integrated VeChain wallet, a dApp browser, and a Connex APIs. These are all designed to bring superior user experiences for dApps on the VeChainThor blockchain. It also offers developers and their users an infrastructure with unlimited potential. Moreover, the apps can be accessed in the New Sync. A few projects such as insight, inspector, and Energy Station all are being developed for New Sync. VeChain Foundation welcomes developers to create their own apps and help with existing projects.
What You Can Expect on the Connex 1.0
Similar to web3.js, Connex is a redefined standard interface which can connect dApps with the VeChainThor blockchain and users. It offers developers a set of well-designed APIs. It has an injected Connex Object into web applications, allowing developers to easily build dApps. Between Connex and web3.js, Connex offers a more streamlined and lightweight methods for dApps. VeChain Foundation will continue the support for web3.js in order to lower the barrier for developers. They highly suggest that developers consider trying out Connex and give them feedback. Comet is also expected to add support for Connex soon.
Building a strong developer community is a priority for VeChain this year. They are planning to launch a series of campaigns and their very first DevCon in order to boost the dApp development on the VeChainThor blockchain.
