Airfox (AIR) the distributed ledger technology project aimed at offering millions of unbanked and underserved individuals’ mobile financial services that truly works, has joined forces with Via Varejo, Brazil’s retail giant to make its mobile payments solutions available to 60 million consumers in the region, according to a press release on September 12, 2018. Airfox (AIR) Takes Over Brazil
Per a PRNewswire news release, the Airfox team inked a partnership deal with Via Varejo, to enable it to extend its cost-efficient blockchain-powered mobile payments solution to about 60 million Brazilian people through the retail firm’s supported locations and e-commerce sites.
According to the team, the Airfox mobile payments solution would make it easy for users to pay bills, transfer money and perform all their daily transactions right from their mobile phones.
That’s not all, the Airfox app also allows customers to deposit and withdraw fiat money at all Casia Bahia outlets and more than 200,000 offline locations across Brazil, including post-offices, ATMs banks and more.
At current, Via Varejo issues clients in-store loans called CDC. Customers can use the CDCs to purchase expensive items such as furniture, home appliances, and others.
The Airfox app will also make it more convenient for users to pay their CDC bills, as they will no longer need to visit a store.
