The Canada SailGP Team has announced a three-year cooperation with the Algorand Foundation. The collaboration is the first big partnership announcement for the Canadian team. As well as a blockchain platform’s sponsorship of a professional sailing team. The Algorand Foundation and the Canada SailGP Team share a goal for a sustainable future based on cutting-edge innovation and high-performance technology, making the alliance a perfect fit. Both are dedicated to using sport to inspire a brighter and cleaner future for our world.
The Canada SailGP Team, created by digital finance entrepreneur Fred Pye, is all about encouraging the future generation of Canadian sailors, supporting chances for kids to get engaged in the sport, and offering a route for outstanding athletes. The team is developing a foiling development program (We CAN Foil). To provide young sailors from coast to coast with the opportunity to learn to fly. As part of SailGP, the Canada SailGP Team is dedicated to racing for a brighter future. Which includes combatting climate change and speeding the transition to renewable energy.
