Aligned, after nine months of rigorous development, has unveiled its ZK verification layer on Ethereum which is mainnet beta. This launch is a game-changer for developers. It enables developers to verify zero-knowledge proofs on Ethereum at less than 10% of the current cost. It further allows thousands of proofs to be submitted per batch.
This milestone signifies a significant leap forward for scalable blockchain solutions. It also opens up new possibilities for Ethereum-based applications. Aligned, a scalable ZK verification for blockchain, has witnessed its launch through its official X account.
Aligned Delivers Revolutionary Cost Savings and Performance
The mainnet beta supports verifiers for leading-proof systems. This ZK verification layer includes Risc0 (v1.1.2), SP1 (v3.0.0), gnark that is Groth16 (BN254), and gnark that is Plonk (BN254 & BLS12-381). Impressively, the network can process 200 proofs per second at a cost of just 2100 gas per proof.
Additionally, it marks a 10x improvement in throughput and over 90% cost savings compared to Ethereum’s native verification capabilities. There are over 433K $ETH committed to the network. The network, Aligned, has created a robust foundation for partners to start building on its platform.
Advancing Towards a Seamless Developer Experience
While the mainnet beta showcases incredible progress, Aligned remains committed to continuous improvement. Key focus areas include stabilizing the batcher and resolving payment system bottlenecks. They also incorporate enhancing the SDK for seamless integration and better error management. The network was initially operated by a smaller whitelisted set of operators. It will further expand in the coming days to onboard more participants.
Aligned’s commitment to transparency and collaboration is evident. The entire development process and codebase are 100% open source. The next nine months, with persisting momentum, promise even more groundbreaking advancements for developers and the wider Ethereum community. Stay tuned for updates as Aligned continues to push the boundaries of blockchain scalability.
