Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of the top crypto exchange firm Binance, is currently caught up in the latest fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) spread due to the latest rumours. These unsubstantiated rumours are regarding the issuance of a red notice by Interpol for the Binance CEO. In this respect, a seemingly edited image of Zhao has been frequently circulating on Twitter since recently.
Changpeng Zhao Responds to the New FUD about a Red Notice Issued by Interpol against Him
The respective image displays Zhao’s photo on the red notice-related web page of Interpol. This indicates that the prominent crypto player is at present going through some crucial legal problems. A red notice is considered to be a request to worldwide law enforcement to detect as well as provisionally detain a person until the surrender, extradition, or analogous legal action.
While discussing the respective FUD, Zhao shared a response on his official account on Twitter. The Binance CEO mentioned that the new FUD was just spread by the sponsored KOLs and the outlets that spread crypto-related news. As per Zhao, there are great chances for some rival crypto exchange platforms to be backing these agents.
In addition to this, Zhao labelled the FUD as a trivial effort that harms the entire industry. After that, Zhao stated that such endeavours just hurt the reputation of those who orchestrate them. Apart from that, he pointed toward the external threats posed to the crypto market and said that it is regretful to see such internal disruption adding fuel to fire.
In his words, the photo was edited with some software, and it was not real. He also persuaded the participants of the crypto community to block the respective FUD. On the 3rd of this month, no open red notice was issued by Interpol on its website against Zhao. Moreover, there is no record related to the famous crypto player on the worldwide law enforcement’s website, according to the reports.
A Crypto Influencer Shares an Encrypted Hash Spreading the FUD
The rumours regarding Interpol’s search for Zhao’s whereabouts started when a SHA256 was shared by a well-known crypto influencer going by Cobie. The respective hash comprises an encrypted message. That message also talks about a red notice by Interpol for Zhao. Nevertheless, Cobie clarified that the message was only an improbable prediction as well as a rumour.
