In a concerted effort to offer relief and emotional rehabilitation to children devastated by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Binance Charity, the philanthropic wing of the global blockchain giant Binance, has joined forces with the Children of Heroes Foundation. Together, they aim to organize a 12-day therapeutic camp named “I am Da Vinci” for 50 children who have tragically lost one or both parents due to the war.
The “I am Da Vinci” camp is designed to cultivate a nurturing environment where children can work through their trauma. The camp will offer a comprehensive program that includes emotional recovery exercises, community bonding activities, adventure outings, and psychological counseling.
Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance’s Regional Head for CEE & Central Asia, expressed the company’s commitment to this initiative. “Every child deserves the love and security of a family. At Binance, we are more than willing to support initiatives aimed at alleviating their suffering and restoring hope. In every child we help, we see a brighter future not just for Ukraine, but for the entire world. Our commitment to providing compassionate assistance is not a choice, but a responsibility we wholeheartedly embrace,” he said.
A Beacon of Hope
During the camp, children will be engaged in creative activities, competitions, and tasks designed to promote self-expression and intellectual growth. They will also receive ongoing psychological support to help them process their emotions, understand their losses, and cope with the after-effects of their traumatic experiences.
The program aims to create a nurturing space where children can mitigate feelings of isolation and loneliness and form strong bonds with others who share similar experiences. The funding for this camp program has been generated through donations from Binance Charity, with a total of 50,000 USDT (equivalent to 2,000,000 UAH) invested to facilitate this initiative.
Tetiana Novytska, CEO of the Children of Heroes Foundation, emphasized the importance of psychological support for these children. “The mission of our Fund is to ensure that all of our beneficiaries are integrated into society and have every opportunity to build a successful life. Therefore, organizing such camps, where children will work with psychologists and recover from difficult experiences, is one of the most crucial areas of our activity. We want to see the smiling faces of children who enjoy their childhood or youth again, not crying eyes, despair, and irritation,” she said.
