Binance halted spot trading for Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) at 03:00 UTC on October 28, completing a delisting the exchange first announced on October 14. The removal of the two trading pairs is the latest turn in a widening listing cleanup by the world’s largest crypto exchange, and it leaves holders of both tokens with a shrinking window to move their assets off the platform.
The move lands against the backdrop of a broader culling. A day earlier, Binance said it would restrict eight services and delist 22 tokens in Brazil under new central bank rules, a separate action that applies the same listing-cleanup logic to a different market.
The Decision and the Criteria Behind It
Binance framed the removal as the output of a routine review rather than a response to a specific incident. “At Binance, we regularly review every digital asset listed on our platform to ensure it continues to meet our high standards and industry requirements,” the exchange wrote. “Following our latest review, we have decided to delist the following tokens and cease trading all their Spot trading pairs on 28.10.2026 at 03:00 (UTC).”
The announcement enumerates ten factors that drive delisting decisions, from “trading volume and liquidity” and “level and quality of development activity” to “evidence of unethical/fraudulent behavior or negligence,” “new regulatory requirements,” and “significant or unjustified increase in token supply or changes to tokenomics.” Binance did not specify which of these triggered the removal of EPIC and QUICK, leaving holders to infer the cause from each project’s recent trading activity and development pace.
A Three-Stage Unwind: The Timeline for Holders
For anyone still holding either token on Binance, the delisting runs in three stages with hard deadlines:
- Deposits stop being credited after October 29 at 03:00 UTC.
- Withdrawals remain supported until December 28 at 03:00 UTC.
- Conversion — after December 29, Binance may convert remaining balances into stablecoins on users’ behalf, though the exchange cautioned the conversion “is not guaranteed.”
“Withdrawals of these tokens from Binance will not be supported after 28.12.2026 at 03:00 (UTC),” the announcement states. “Delisting may result in the tokens being converted into stablecoins on behalf of users after 29.12.2026 at 03:00 (UTC).”
The schedule leaves a roughly 60-day withdrawal window: from the deposit cutoff on October 29 to the withdrawal deadline on December 28, holders have about two months to move EPIC and QUICK off the exchange or accept whatever conversion price Binance ultimately offers. Any order left open when spot trading ceased at 03:00 UTC was automatically removed, so the only remaining choice is a withdrawal rather than a market exit.
What Are EPIC and QUICK?
QuickSwap is the leading decentralized exchange on Polygon, and its QUICK token functions as the protocol’s governance and fee asset. The project recently expanded into on-chain perpetual futures, a push it detailed when QuickSwap partnered with Orbs for the rollout. As of late October, QUICK carried a market capitalization of roughly $6.9 million, according to CoinGecko.
Epic Chain is a younger Ethereum Layer 2 built around tokenizing real-world assets — real estate, bonds, and collectibles — into on-chain primitives that can be staked, traded, or spent. Its EPIC token serves as the network’s staking, medium-of-exchange, and governance asset. The project’s roadmap centers on an RWA “superstructure” and a spending card, but its footprint on Binance remained comparatively thin.
Market Reaction: QUICK Slides as Trading Ends
QUICK traded near $0.0072 on Binance, down roughly 27% over the preceding 24 hours as the final day of spot trading drew to a close, according to the exchange’s price page. The decline coincided with the delisting rather than proving a causal link — thin order books in a token’s final hours routinely produce exaggerated moves, and the slide may equally reflect holders liquidating ahead of the withdrawal deadline. EPIC changed hands around $0.098 against USDT on Binance.
For a small-cap token like QUICK, the loss of Binance’s order flow concentrates liquidity on decentralized venues — QuickSwap’s own DEX among them — and raises the cost of exiting for anyone who waits until the final hours. The token’s roughly $6.9 million market capitalization, per CoinGecko, leaves little depth to absorb a rush of last-minute selling.
What Holders Should Do Now
The only date that matters for anyone still holding EPIC or QUICK on Binance is December 28 at 03:00 UTC. After that, withdrawals stop, and the next step is a conversion into stablecoins that Binance has explicitly said is not guaranteed. The 60-day window between the deposit cutoff and the withdrawal deadline is generous, but every open order was already removed the moment spot trading ended, so the practical choice narrows to withdrawing to a self-custody wallet or a venue that still lists the token.
