Binance has announced starting a mutual anti-scam campaign in collaboration with law enforcement organizations. Changpeng Zhao, the chief executive officer of the crypto exchange disclosed this on his official Twitter channel. To elaborate on the objectives of the collaboration, the platform published a blog post on its official website.

The company mentioned that the criminals took their activities to their peak when the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe. In recent years, the cryptocurrency exchange has been carrying out debates with law enforcement organizations around the world to stop the prevailing crimes. The scammers utilized every means to loot the funds of the victims via Telegram-based messages, harmful links, emails, and phone calls.
By making these endeavours, the bad actors attempted to get the sensitive information of the victims. Keeping this in view, the crypto entity launched the latest campaign in partnership with worldwide law enforcement agencies. While mentioning this, the company mentioned that they commenced in Hong Kong. There, they operated in collaboration with the regional force for the establishment of a message alerting about the likely scams.
The respective message included assistive tips, describing the normally occurring scams along with offering relevant contacts and resources. The crypto exchange asserted that the respective project has remained successful in displaying remarkable results. The platform claimed that, in the initial 4 weeks of the project, almost 20.4% of the consumers had decided to withdraw or review if the transfer had scam-related risks.
The Crypto Exchange Eyes Spreading the Initiative to the Other Jurisdictions
The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau for the Hong Kong Police Force also commented on the mutual campaign. It stated that the Hong Kong Police gives a lot of attention to preventing crime effectively. Keeping this in view, it added, it collaborated with diverse stakeholders such as Binance to offer the chief crime-prevention recommendations to the consumers.

The crypto exchange platform specified that it has obtained substantial safety improvement without influencing the user experience.
