Expansion of the leading crypto exchange, Binance, into traditional finance (DeFi) assets shows strong trader adoption with real-time derivatives data. According to data on derivatives markets‚ 10 out of the highest 15 perpetual contracts by 24-hour volume are TradFi assets like equities‚ ETFs and commodities․ The list is led by the SanDisk (SANDUSDT) perpetual contract, which recorded nearly $7 billion in the 24-hour trading volume.
SANDUSDT alone accounted for approximately $6.87 billion in volume on Binance. This figure represented roughly 22% of SanDisk’s corresponding 24-hour trading volume on Nasdaq. The second-largest Binance perpetual was Silver (XAGUSDT), followed by the leading contracts with around $826M in volume and approaching the $1B mark. Other established crypto perpetuals such as Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH) and Solana ($SOL) occupied the top spots in the top 15 assets.
Binance Captures Dominant Share of Equity Perpetual Volume
The composition of the top contracts clearly shows that how rapidly global traders are embracing TradFi perpetuals of the Binance exchange. These products were expanded through 2026 to cover US stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and both precious and industrial metals on a continuous 24/7 basis.
Industry data further supports the momentum as weekly stock-linked perpetual volume across centralized exchanges has surged roughly 79 times since the beginning of 2026. Binance has accounted for about 76% of tracked equity perpetual volume in July, which has cemented its position as the primary venue for this emerging segment.
Multi-Asset Super App Vision Takes Shape
Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance, commented on the development, stating, “The shift validates Binance’s stated mission to make its platform a multi-asset financial super app where users can access crypto, tokenized securities, and traditional asset classes within a single account. By offering USDT-margined perpetual contracts on stocks, ETFs, commodities and more, Binance has effectively extended crypto-style round-the-clock trading to assets that were previously confined to traditional market hours.”
The growth of TradFi perpetuals highlights Binance’s broader offering, which already includes direct trading in over 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, tokenized securities, and additional commodity exposure through derivatives. Because of that, traders can execute cross-asset strategies, such as hedging crypto positions with gold, taking leveraged exposure to technology stocks, or rotating between equities and digital assets—without leaving the Binance ecosystem. Overall, the latest volume data shows the accelerating convergence of crypto and traditional markets on a single platform.
