Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has disclosed its updated Bybit x Block Scholes Crypto Derivatives Analytics Report. The report is formulated with the strategic collaboration of Bybit and Block Scholes that spotlights the limited effect of the ongoing U.S. government shutdown on the digital asset market, cautious option market, and emerging agendas for privacy tokens such as Zcash ($ZEC).
Key Points of the Bybit x Block Scholes Crypto Derivatives Analytics Report
This collaboration has certain key points including Limited Impact from U.S. Shutdown. As per the given details, Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH) instantly recoiled from late-September liquidations, with $BTC trading surpass $118K and ETH at $4,400.
The next key point is Options Market Cautions as $BTC and $ETH volatility remains subdued, while on the other hand, options pricing resumes to favor puts, throwing back defensive positioning. Last but not least is that Privacy Tokens Outperform: Zcash ($ZEC) almost doubles, driven by new participations and rising concerns over global surveillance.
Crypto Assets Show Resilience as Bitcoin and Ethereum Recover From September Correction
Despite macroeconomic uncertainty, crypto assets have shown flexibility in spot markets. In recent September’s liquidation-driven correction, Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH) both mount recoveries, supported by fixed trading flows.
Bitcoin Implied volatility has fallen to levels not seen since mid-2023, showing subdued realized volatility. But, options markets remain defensive, with long-dated tenors resuming to price in trouble risk via put-skewed volatility smiles.
ETH Options Volumes Spike as Traders Favor Puts during September Dip
Bybit and Block Scholes show that Ethereum options also expose a risk-averse pose. Volume hyped during $ETH’s September dip, with standing heavily favoring puts. Spot ETF discharge further emphasized market caution; meanwhile, implied volatility continued to trend lower over the month.
Privacy-focused assets, especially Zcash, stood out presently. ZEC approximately doubled in value, reinforced by the launch of Zashi CrossPay, its bonding with THORSwap, and a prominent global debate over digital surveillance. Its powerful performance passed other leading privacy tokens.
