Bybit EU will take center stage at one of Europe’s flagship blockchain gatherings this spring, announcing today that it will serve as lead sponsor of Paris Blockchain Week 2026, a move that signals the company’s deepening commitment to regulated growth on the continent.
The two-day conference, which brings together thousands of executives, investors, developers and regulators, will be held April 15–16 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Paris Blockchain Week Carrousel du Louvre The announcement frames Bybit EU’s sponsorship as part of a broader shift in the industry from speculative cycles toward building regulated infrastructure and institutional-grade services.
Among the highlights of Bybit’s presence will be a main-stage appearance by Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit, who is slated to discuss how platforms can bridge digital assets with the traditional economy while navigating a fragmented regulatory landscape.
Company leaders Ambroise Helaine and Robert Macdonald will also take part in panel sessions focused on market development, institutional adoption and platform governance, offering a mix of operational and legal perspectives from inside the exchange.
Organizers say the event aims to be a crossroads where policy and product meet, and Bybit’s involvement underscores how established players are positioning themselves to influence that conversation. The sponsorship and speaking slot came after Bybit EU secured formal authorization under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation.
It was a watershed development that allowed the Vienna-headquartered firm to expand regulated services across the European Economic Area. Regulatory approval has given the firm a clearer footing to offer custody, exchange and transfer services in an environment where transparency and consumer protections are increasingly demanded by governments and institutional clients.
The Next Phase of Adoption
Georg Harer, Co-CEO of the regional unit, framed the company’s decision to sponsor Paris Blockchain Week as more than marketing. “As the industry matures and regulatory clarity improves, the focus is shifting from trading cycles to the infrastructure being built around digital assets,” he said.
He pointed to custody, payments and broader financial access as priorities for the next phase of adoption. Bybit’s stated strategy is to evolve beyond a pure trading venue toward what it calls a new financial platform that connects crypto-native products to everyday financial services.
For Paris Blockchain Week, the presence of a MiCAR-authorized provider at the title-sponsor level will likely draw attention from institutional attendees and European policymakers who are keen to assess how regulated market participants operate in practice.
The conference program, which traditionally includes panels, workshops and VIP gatherings, is expected to host finance heavyweights, asset managers and representatives from national and EU-level regulators, creating a forum where compliance, liquidity and product innovation can be debated in equal measure.
Bybit EU’s role at the Carrousel du Louvre will be watched both as a commercial play and a test of how regulated crypto firms can shape industry norms while scaling services across borders. With executives onstage and regulatory approval in hand, the company is positioning itself to be a visible example of the new, compliance-first chapter of Europe’s digital asset story.
