The well-known stablecoin issuer Circle has recently announced a significant development. As per the company, it is broadening support for its native USDC stablecoin on the Polygon PoS Amoy testnet while aiming at facilitating the developers. As a result of this development, the developers working with the services and protocols of USDC will get substantial assistance.
Circle to Increase USDC Support on Polygon PoS Amoy Testnet
The company took to its official X account to disclose this remarkable endeavor. In a recent series of posts on the social media platform, Circle announced the date for this support’s launch. The firm revealed that it will start the respective rollout on the 27th of this month. This will continue till the 30th of the next month.
Additionally, the firm noted that the latest development will see the inclusion of USDC in polygon PoS Amoy testnet. On the above-mentioned date, along with this inclusion, new addresses concerning the Polygon PoS Amoy testnet will enter CCTP of Circle. Moreover, Polygon PoS Mumbai will no longer witness any support from the attestation API after migration.
In addition to this, Faucet will not back USDC tokens on Polygon PoS Mumbai following this development. On the other hand, the users will have the option to get USDC tokens on Polygon PoS Amoy. Apart from that, the Polygon PoS Mumbai-based Circle Mint addresses for deposits will emerge on the 27th. The transfer of USDC coins to the aforementioned addresses will pave the way for funds loss in the sandbox of Circle Mint.
No Changes to Take Place in the Existing Balances
However, the existing balances will not experience any change at all. Programmable wallets will back Polygon PoS Amoy on the 27th of March. Before that, they will pull back from Polygon PoS Mumbai’s support on the 11th of April. Smart Contract Platform will provide API access to Polygon PoS Amoy by this month’s 27th.
