Coinbase’s rollout of the newly redesigned wallet mobile app is now live, they have now completely redesigned the Coinbase wallet mobile app to bring users closer to Web3 by making it more accessible that Coinbase said it “puts the power of Web3 in your pocket.”
Coinbase Launches Newly Redesigned Wallet Mobile App
Ever since Coinbase first launched its self-custody wallet mobile app back in 2017. Crypto has been evolving, with multiple chains being launched and also with newly founded blockchain applications. Coinbase now is not looking to see that evolvement just walk past them, as they have seemed to also want to evolve with the applications of blockchain, with its newly released redesigned wallet mobile app, Coinbase is looking to put its users on a whole new level of Web3, also making it a user-friendly application that “puts the power of Web3 in your pocket and provides a unified experience for all of your NFTs, tokens, and favorite decentralized apps (dapps).”
What’s New?
First of, with the designs, Coinbase still inclined into their foundational design principles but still made a few changes, like the quick action buttons now come along with some exciting quick actions, it provides access to DEX swaps with just one tap. Sending, receiving, or funding your Coinbase wallet with your favorite crypto just also got better, as hundreds of cryptocurrencies now support the use of debit cards or bank accounts.
Coinbase also made changes to the Coinbase wallet app with its “all-new dapp browser”, finding and exploring new dApps is now easier, this new dApp browser provides a curated list of popular dApps from all networks that the Coinbase wallet supports. Coinbase also added the support of that cool feature we’ve all been wanting, the switching of dApps with just the “tap of a button.” Better yet, users can also now move between dApps on different networks and leave the wallet to handle the switching of the background.
Looking at how people now prefer the dark mode feature in all their mobile apps, thankfully, dark mode didn’t get passed by this time, as Coinbase also brought along the dark mode to the new Coinbase wallet mobile app, and also made it the default theme.
Coinbase Wallet App Now Offers Extension
Back in 2021, Coinbase introduced the Coinbase wallet extension for browser extensions like Google Chrome and Chromium browsers like Brave. The wallet extension was only available in the Wallet extension but not the Wallet mobile app. However, with the newly released redesigned Coinbase wallet app, Coinbase re-introduces some great features such as NFT collection, Solana support, Price charts, DeFi portfolio, and also support in 25 languages.
Conclusion
Coinbase seems to want to bring its users closer to Web3 by also making the platform a usable tool in the Web3 space.
The new Coinbase wallet app has been released, and the rollout is expected to be complete over the next couple of weeks. The wallet app is available both on App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android.
