What Makes a Crypto Casino App “Native”?
A native crypto casino app is a piece of software actually installed on your device, downloaded either through an app store or sideloaded as an APK file, that runs independently of your mobile browser. That’s a meaningfully different experience from a Progressive Web App (PWA) – a mobile-optimized website that can be added to your home screen to look and feel app-like, but which is still, underneath, a browser tab.
Of the twenty operators our team indexed across the site, we independently confirmed a genuine native app at five: Jackbit (iOS, Android, and desktop via Windows/MacOS), BC.GAME (Android APK plus iOS), Stake (iOS only – more on that below), 1xBit (Android APK plus sideloaded iOS) and 1win (Android APK confirmed; iOS support is inconsistently reported). We confirmed the opposite at seven operators – BitStarz, Cloudbet, 7bit, BiggerZ, Gamdom, Katsubet and Vave – where mobile play runs through a browser or PWA rather than a downloadable app. For the remaining eight – Mirax, Vavada, Roobet, BetUS, Vegas Aces, GameSpot, JackPotter and Crypto-Games – we found no reliable source confirming either way.
Why Casino Apps Rarely Live in the App Store
Real-money gambling apps face restrictions that ordinary apps don’t. Google Play banned them outright until March 2021, when it opened up to a licensing application process in around 19 markets – the UK, Ireland, France, Brazil, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the US – while continuing to ban them everywhere else, with eligibility criteria that vary by market. Apple’s App Store is similarly selective and varies by region and licence. That’s why the standard distribution method for a crypto casino isn’t a store listing at all – it’s a direct APK download from the operator’s own website for Android, or a “Trust this developer” sideload process for iOS that bypasses the App Store entirely.
Stake’s split is the clearest illustration of how uneven this gets: it maintains a genuine App Store listing for iOS (published under its licensed operator, Medium Rare N.V., with a 4.3-star rating from hundreds of reviews), but has no official Android app at all – Android users get a “Add to Home Screen” shortcut instead. The reverse pattern shows up elsewhere: some operators sideload cleanly on Android via APK but only reach iOS players through a PWA, because Apple’s review process is stricter about gambling content than direct sideloading allows for.
A PWA isn’t a downgrade in every sense. Adding a site to your home screen removes the browser chrome, opens in full-screen mode, and behaves like an app for everyday use – it just skips the app-store review process and any store-specific features like push notifications. Several operators on this page, including Cloudbet and BitStarz, have deliberately built their mobile strategy around a strong PWA rather than maintaining separate native codebases.
The Fake-App Problem: What We Found Ourselves
While researching this page, we came across two listings on Google Play – one branded around “Vavada,” another explicitly claiming to be the “Official casino Roobet app” – that had nothing to do with either casino. The first was a home-appliance shopping app padded with Vavada keywords to capture search traffic; the second was an unrelated pipe-connecting puzzle game from a developer with no casino apps in its portfolio, falsely labeled as Roobet’s official app, and flagged as sharing location data with third parties. Neither casino has any connection to these listings.
This isn’t a rare fluke – brand-riding apps like these are a recurring problem across the crypto casino space specifically because so few operators have a genuine store presence, leaving a gap that opportunistic (and sometimes malicious) developers fill with lookalikes. Three checks protect you: verify the developer name matches the operator’s known legal entity (for example, Stake’s listing is published by Medium Rare N.V., not a generic-sounding shell company), check the download count and review history for anything that looks padded or brand-new, and when in doubt, download only from a link on the casino’s own official website rather than searching an app store directly.
Licensing: What These Licences Actually Cover
Most brands in this index hold a Curacao Gaming Authority licence: 7bit, Katsubet and Mirax through Scores55 Tech B.V. (Mirax under licence OGL/2024/1307/0748), Jackbit (Jack.com) through Data Link Digital B.V. (OGL/2024/1562/1139, issued 15 May 2026 following the operator’s April 2026 rebrand from Ryker B.V.), Stake through Medium Rare N.V., Cloudbet through Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., 1xBit through 1xBit N.V., and Vavada, 1win and Gamdom under their own Curacao registrations. A Curacao licence establishes an identifiable, regulated operator with published terms and anti-money-laundering duties, but it does not mirror consumer protections found in stricter regimes such as the UK Gambling Commission or Malta Gaming Authority – mandated deposit limits, national self-exclusion registers, or a formal external dispute-resolution body.
A smaller group runs under newer offshore jurisdictions increasingly used by crypto-native operators: BiggerZ and JackPotter hold Anjouan licences (Union of Comoros), issued respectively to CDK PLAY INC SRL and Bravo Entertainment Limited. BC.GAME also holds an Anjouan licence as of December 2024, after its Curacao-licensed operator was declared bankrupt and the company withdrew its Curacao licence rather than contest revocation – the entity named on the new licence, Twocent Technology Limited, does not appear in Belize’s Financial Services Commission registry, which our team flags as an open transparency concern rather than a settled fact. GameSpot and Crypto-Games both hold Costa Rica licences under separate entities. BetUS operates as a long-running US-facing offshore book without a single clearly disclosed jurisdiction. Vegas Aces is worth a specific flag: its own terms and conditions reference both Curacao and Comoros in different clauses, inconsistent enough that our team recommends reading the terms directly before depositing.
A licence also says nothing about whether you’re permitted to play – that’s a separate question answered by your local law and the operator’s restricted-country list. If minimal-verification play is what you’re weighing up, our guide to no-KYC crypto casinos covers the trade-offs in detail.
Mobile Access, Compared
No welcome offer below is tied specifically to app users – the same bonuses apply whether you play through a native app, a PWA, or a full desktop browser. What differs is how you’ll actually access the casino on your phone.

| BiggerZ | 7.0 | No app yet – mobile browser | 150% up to 1,500 USDT | Instant to a few minutes |
“Not independently confirmed” means we found no reliable source describing that operator’s mobile access method – given how thin genuine reporting is on this specific question, and how many fake listings clutter app-store search results, we’d rather leave a gap than guess.
Games and Providers
Your access method doesn’t change what’s in the lobby – the same slots, live tables and Originals appear whether you’re on a native app, a PWA, or desktop. In our index Vave lists 16,900+ titles, 7bit and BC.GAME 10,000+ each, Crypto-Games also 10,000+, Katsubet, Mirax, Jackbit and 1xBit around 7,000+, 1win and BitStarz around 6,500+, Stake and Gamdom around 6,000+, BiggerZ and Vavada 5,000+, Roobet 7,000+, Vegas Aces 2,000+, Cloudbet 2,500+ and BetUS 300+.
Fast-round formats hold up especially well on mobile, since a short session fits naturally into a phone screen and a spare few minutes. Our crash gambling sites page covers exactly that category in more depth, including which operators here have built their own in-house crash Originals rather than licensing a third-party title.
How We Rate These Sites
Ratings on this page follow the same weighted methodology used across our crypto casino reviews: payout speed, limits and fees; safety and licensing; bonus and wagering fairness; game selection and providers; payments and crypto coverage; KYC, privacy and turnover rules; support and user experience; and track record. Whether an operator ships a native app or runs mobile through a PWA is not itself a scored input – we treat it as a factual attribute to disclose, not a quality signal to reward, since a well-built PWA can outperform a poorly maintained native app in practice.
Two things never move a score. Commercial terms between a brand and this publication have no bearing on its rating, and any claim we cannot attribute to a verifiable source stays out entirely. Our blockchain casinos page applies the same disclosure standard to provably fair verification, if you’re weighing transparency features more broadly.
Restrictions and Responsible Play
None of these sites is available everywhere, and licence jurisdiction is not a substitute for checking the law in your own country. A native app’s convenience cuts the same way on mobile that it does anywhere else: instant access from your home screen, push notifications for bonuses, and biometric login all remove friction from redepositing, which is a genuine usability win and a genuine risk to self-control in the same breath.
Set deposit limits inside the casino account rather than relying on install friction to slow you down, and disable promotional push notifications if you find they’re prompting sessions you didn’t plan. Licensed operators offer self-limitation tools – deposit and loss limits, session reminders, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion – in account settings or on request from support. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, free confidential support is available through GambleAware (gambleaware.org), GamCare (gamcare.org.uk), the National Council on Problem Gambling (ncpgambling.org, 1-800-522-4700), GamStop (gamstop.co.uk) and Gamblers Anonymous (gamblersanonymous.org).
This page is editorial information, not financial, legal or gambling advice. Gambling involves risk and the operator holds a mathematical edge over time, so never stake money you cannot afford to lose. Services are 18+ (higher where local law requires), availability and terms change – verify with the operator and check the law in your jurisdiction before you sign up.
