Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, has made another significant transfer of Ethereum (ETH). Buterin transferred 800 ETH, valued at approximately $2.01 million, to a multisig wallet just a few hours ago, according to Lookonchain, a well-known on-chain analytics firm.
Ethereum Wallet Swaps $8M ETH for USDC, Raising Questions
Notably, this is not the first time that the holder of this wallet has transferred a significant amount of ETH. On August 9, Buterin moved 3,000 ETH, which is approximately $8.04 million to the said wallet.
Later on, the multisig wallet exchanged 190 ETH for 477,000 USDC, a stablecoin that is tied to the U.S. dollar. The circumstances behind these swaps and the exchange of ETH for USDC remains unclear. Consequently, this situation has led to speculation in the cryptocurrency community.
