As per Lookonchain, in Ethereum’s latest poll, the community has substantially favored Danny Ryan, a former researcher in the Ethereum ecosystem, to lead the Ethereum Foundation. The on-chain analytics provider disclosed this development on its official social media account.
Ethereum Community Supports Danny Ryan to Assume Lead Role in Ethereum Foundation
Lookonchain pointed out that, in the poll, out of total of 335 participants, a remarkable 97% favored Ryan’s candidacy. These votes indicate the wide support for him to lead the Ethereum Foundation. On the other hand, just 10 voters (3%) opposed the respective motion. The Ethereum blockchain conducted the respective poll, recording a cumulative 51,206.90 $ETH in terms of votes. This amount accounts for nearly $164M.
The overwhelming support from voters signifies a huge confidence in Ryan as the Ethereum Foundation’s upcoming leader. While 99.98% of the voters in the poll supported Ryan, just 8.85 $ETH went against the proposal. The respective decision is based on Danny Ryan’s noteworthy role in the Ethereum ecosystem. He played the role of a prominent researcher when Ethereum transitioned from the old proof-of-work to the current proof-of-stake consensus. In addition to this, he has also significantly contributed to Ethereum’s overall development.
