As institutional interest in cryptocurrencies hit record highs, Ethereum (ETH) looks set to embark on a gigantic price drive. This is evidenced by record ETF inflows as well as accelerated on-chain activity. Nevertheless, analysts believe that two smaller crypto projects – AAVE and Remittix (RTX), could fetch bigger gains for potential investors.
Can Ethereum price rally to $3,500 this year?
Ethereum started 2025 on a high, rising close to $4,000 on the back of Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential elections. This was followed by a gradual drop to $1,500 in May, as macro economic factors like rising inflation, regional wars and Trump’s tariffs tussle with China.
At the moment, Ethereum price is hovering around $2,500, but increasing institutional interest suggests a rally to $3,500 is possible. For the seventh successive week, spot ETH ETFs recorded positive net inflows, totalling 106,000 ETH. This is a good sign as it shows that corporations are still accumulating ETH.

Ethereum’s daily transactions have also exceeded 2 million, a new record in itself. This steady increase in network activity, coupled with the extremely buoyant crypto climate, could be the catalyst for a breakout to $3,500. However, analysts believe little known tokens are more likely to appreciate better.
AAVE quietly accumulates value
AAVE doesn’t dominate media headlines, but it’s well-known in the crypto space. A decentralized finance protocol established years ago, AAVE has made a name for itself by allowing people to lend and borrow crypto with ease.

Over the last couple of months, AAVE has appreciated by over 100%. The coin hit a low of $125 in early May and is now around the $260 zone. Analysts are confident AAVE would continue this rally and fetch current holders handsome gains.
The coin has a support level around $250, with resistance expected between $280 to $300. Overcoming these hurdles could see AAVE possibly retest a high of $400. But does this make AAVE a must-have?
