Mempool
Table of contents
Mempool (short for memory pool) is a temporary storage area where unconfirmed blockchain transactions wait to be validated by network nodes or miners.
How It Works
When you submit a transaction, it first enters the mempool. Miners then select which transactions to include in the next block, usually prioritizing those with higher fees.
Why It Matters
A congested mempool can lead to slower confirmations and higher transaction fees. It gives insights into network activity and fee dynamics.
