Node
Table of contents
A node is any device, like a computer or server, that participates in a blockchain network. It helps maintain the network by storing data, validating transactions, and sharing information with other nodes.
What Do Nodes Do?
Nodes communicate with each other to keep the blockchain updated and secure. Some nodes only store a copy of the blockchain (full nodes), while others validate and confirm new transactions (validator or mining nodes). Their work ensures consensus is reached across the network without needing a central authority.
Why Nodes Matter
Nodes are the backbone of decentralization. They keep the blockchain transparent, secure, and resistant to tampering. The more nodes a network has, the stronger and more reliable it becomes.
