As per Helium, through this partnership the overall network of the platform will expand with the addition of more than 100K Data-Only Hotspots of Ameriband. The platform took to social media to provide the details of this development.

Helium added that these hotspots operate as little cell towers, swiftly expanding the coverage footprint throughout the United States. This landmark is dissimilar to the traditional telco model including the installation of costly and giant cell towers. It demonstrates how efficiently and rapidly scaling can be done by a mobile network after people fuel it by deploying coverage.
The broad network of Ameriband is reportedly deployed in the U.S.-based prominent retail businesses, venues, commercial locations, and grocery chains. It will assist drive the utility of the Helium Network. As a result of this collaboration, anyone having a phone plan from Helium Mobile will enjoy connectivity in more locations.
Moreover, the rest of the carriers joining the Helium Network via “Carrier Offload” will provide matchless connectivity from the Data-Only Hotspots and the people-driven Helium Network. The North America-based 3 major carriers are already using the Helium Carrier Offload. Additionally, it has linked more than 1M phones since its launch three months back.
