tripleS, a 24-membered K-pop girl group, has recently gained attention with the release of its album titled “ASSEMBLE.” The eight-track album includes the single “Rising,” which was first released as an extended play (EP) album on February 13th. Due to the flexible nature of tripleS’ composition, a different selection of the band’s female stars is featured on each album release.
Through a voting system built on blockchain technology and given the name “Gravity,” the fans decide which sub-groups will be formed and select members to fill those roles. In addition, an album including all of the band members will be published once every year. “ASSEMBLE” is the first album containing all 10 members that have been announced thus far: SeoYeon Yoon, HyeRin Jeong, JiWoo Lee, ChaeYeon Kim, YooYeon Kim, SooMin Kim, NaKyoung Kim, YuBin Gong, Kaede, and DaHyun Seo.
A Fan-Centered System as the Future of Entertainment
Fans engaged in the “ASSEMBLE” project by voting for the album’s title track. Voting took place via the mobile application “COSMO: the Origin” developed by Modhaus between December 1 and December 8, 2022. In the style of a tournament, each day the audience was given the opportunity to vote for their favorite track. The winner of the competition was Song B, and it was chosen to be the main track for the album “ASSEMBLE.” Approximately 57,340 COMO, or voting tokens, were utilized throughout the course of the voting process.
tripleS, including the Dimension, who is featured on ASSEMBLE, joined a Modhaus live hangout on Discord from the 30th of January through the 6th of February, 2023. It was the very first time that members have directly communicated with fans on the Discord platform, making tripleS the very first K-Pop group to ever organize a Discord event of this nature. In addition to this, Modhaus is well-known for filming and publishing videos in the type of vlogs or “SIGNAL” on its YouTube channel. Modhaus intends to significantly improve communication by utilizing its different social media sources in the future.
Modhaus CEO Jaden Jeong said: “I’m very confident about the album ASSEMBLE, especially because its title track was solely decided by the fans. This is an unprecedented case of letting the fans listen and decide on the album’s main song. tripleS and ASSEMBLE will prove that a fan-centered system is the future of entertainment.”
