Agreement Will Create the First Music World in The Sandbox Gaming Metaverse, Bringing Live Events and Music Featuring WMG Artists to Players
Partnership
The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, announced a partnership with Warner Music Group (WMG) to build The Sandbox’s first music-themed environment. The Warner Music Group LAND in The Sandbox will be a hybrid of musical theme park and concert venue, including concerts and musical experiences from WMG’s stable of top performers.
Warner Music Group joins a roster of over 200 existing partnerships, including The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, Adidas, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Richie Hawtin, The Smurfs, Care Bears, Atari, ZEPETO, and CryptoKitties, all of which share The Sandbox team’s vision of empowering players to create their own experiences using both original and well-known characters and worlds.
Additionally, according to the official press release, The Sandbox will have a LAND auction at a later date, allowing fans and music aficionados to acquire preferred LAND plots near the WMG Metaverse venue.
