On September 8, Bybit’s gaming platform, Yeeha Games, launched its first game. A 3D strategy mobile game, Midgard Saga is the first of the several GameFi projects to be released by Yeeha Games, which aspires to disrupt the current GameFi ecosystem by putting “gaming experience first.”
In addition, the Arena Challenge competition was held at the same time as the debut of the game. NFT Mystery boxes had their contents automatically revealed, allowing the owners to see the “Void Heroes” or “Void Gear” they were awarded.
Rich Strategic And Role-Playing Elements
Apart from its rich strategic elements, the role-playing game is also steeped in narrative. The story follows Prince Forseti on his perilous voyage across the kingdom after his father, King Crowe, was murdered in secret. Players would have a hand in deciding whether the prince could reclaim his kingdom, restore order, and avenge his father.
Although Midgard Saga’s idle game mechanics are simple and straightforward, the game’s strategy-focused nature demands a lot on players’ ability to assess the battleground and field their best team. Players have access to more than 50 Heroes, each with their own set of distinctive traits and powers to choose from, as well as 20+ different maps and 100+ adversaries to test their mettle.
The First Game In The Yeeha Games Ecosystem
Over the next 18 months, Yeeha Games will release a range of high-quality, free-to-play games in its ecosystem. The $50 million-funded platform will offer a wide variety of game genres, ranging from but not limited to MMORPG, SLG, open world, simulation, and idle RPG card games. To facilitate a seamless transition for gamers into Web3 gaming, the Yeeha Games marketplace includes a wallet that accepts deposits in both fiat currency and cryptocurrencies.
Players will be able to make transactions without incurring any gas fees for all games on the platform. Debuting in the Yeeha Games ecosystem, Midgard Saga aims to offer unique gameplay to gamers. The mobile game may be downloaded through Google Play and the App Store in Southeast Asia (excluding Vietnam), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
Following its launch on September 8, Midgard Saga has also kickstarted a flurry of in-game events. For instance, players can now join the Arena Challenge and stand a chance to win Yeeha Games points. NFT contents of Mystery boxes previously purchased were also unlocked, allowing holders to finally see and use their “Void Heroes” or “Void Gear” to boost their in-game characters.
Helping Grow The Blockchain Gaming Industry
If there were any concerns that blockchain gaming would only become a fringe phenomenon, those doubts have been immediately dispelled in 2022. Due to the arrival of user-friendly blockchain games like those promised by Yeeha Games, it is now difficult to ignore blockchain gaming. Within the cryptocurrency industry, blockchain gaming is quickly becoming the newest and most popular craze there is to follow.
GameFi is rapidly gaining users as it revolutionizes the gaming industry by providing gamers with a plethora of new opportunities. While Midgard Saga is lacking on a few fronts, it does show Yeeha’s goal of using GameFi to provide players greater control over their gameplay. Midgard Saga, as a gameplay first GameFi project, is one of the first games from a huge array of titles aiming to take the industry to the next level.
Midgard Saga’s NFT Roadmap
The Midgard Saga was launched on Yeeha Games on September 8 with pre-purchased NFT Mystery boxes. Moreover, on September 9, the second NFT Mystery Box sale went live on Yeeha Games with 500 Mystery Boxes available at $49.90 each. There is also a tentative schedule of the third NFT Mystery box to be revealed on September 14. However, it will be based on user demand.
