The New York Red Bulls and Sports Illustrated Tickets have agreed to a 13-year partnership. Under the terms of this partnership, the stadium previously named Red Bull Arena will be renamed Sports Illustrated Stadium. Moreover, by Partnering with Ava Labs, Sports Illustrated Tickets aims to set a global standard.
Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, can hold 250,000 people. It hosts the New York Red Bulls from Major League Soccer (MLS) and Gotham FC from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
This collaboration represents Sports Illustrated’s first-ever stadium naming rights partnership in its 70-year history. It aims to enhance fan experiences through innovative ticketing solutions and exclusive events, creating a dynamic venue for sports and entertainment in New York City.
Sports Illustrated Tickets to Redefine Event Experiences
In 2026, Sports Illustrated Tickets will become the official ticketing partner for all events at Sports Illustrated Stadium. The company’s blockchain-powered ticketing platform, “Box Office,” will manage ticketing for New York Red Bulls and Gotham FC home games, international soccer matches, concerts, and other events held at the venue.
Box Office uses Avalanche blockchain technology to provide secure, interactive, and efficient ticketing solutions. The platform will transform traditional event tickets into digital assets, offering attendees unique perks and personalized content. This blockchain initiative positions Sports Illustrated Stadium as a leader in leveraging technology to enhance fan engagement.
The partnership will also bring Club SI, a premium hospitality experience, to the stadium. Club SI will offer VIP access, live entertainment, and food and beverage options, providing an upscale experience for fans and families.
Shared Vision for Sports and Entertainment
Leaders from both organizations emphasized their commitment to elevating the venue’s profile as a premier destination for live events. David Lane, CEO of Sports Illustrated Tickets, highlighted the partnership’s potential to merge Sports Illustrated’s media and event expertise with the stadium’s legacy as a key venue for soccer and entertainment.
According to Marc de Grandpre, President of the New York Red Bulls, the cooperation aimed to deliver the best guest experiences and to position the stadium among the leaders in the area. Opened in 2010, it has attracted some of the biggest teams and events, such as U.S. National Teams, Barcelona FC, and concerts.
