Portal, a cross-chain DEX that makes atomic transactions between Bitcoin and other assets better, Integrates Chainlink Price Feeds.
Integration
Portal will integrate Chainlink Price Feeds into its DEX network. Price data provided by the Chainlink Network is mission-critical because it helps ensure that when users are making a cross-chain transaction, they are getting prices that reflect broad market coverage.
The partnership with Chainlink is a major boost for Portal. Because LINK is the most time-tested oracle network in the blockchain industry. Chainlink’s pricing oracles feed data from the real world onto blockchains. It really allows DeFi apps to trigger their smart contracts when the conditions are met. The total value secured (TVS) by Chainlink has skyrocketed from just $7 billion at the end of last year to $75 billion in October 2021.
Portal executive chairman Dr. Chandra Duggirala said of the partnership: “Portal is excited to announce that Chainlink’s price oracles will reduce friction and enable Portal facilitators and users to discover and transact with peers. We are also evaluating integrating Chainlink’s Keepers functionality to help the Portal client app automate several transaction types such as limit orders and stop limits.”
Meme Lordz Chainlink Integration
Meme Lordz ($Lordz) announces the integration of Chainlink Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF) into their game’s smart contracts. As well as in-game NFT minting system on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). With Chainlink VRF’s random number generator (RNG), users can now mint provably rare Meme Lordz Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Along with the Chainlink integration, they have also unveiled their full minting and rarity system. This feature will add a new dimension to gameplay.
Commenting on the integration, Ryan Smith, the CEO and Founder of Meme Lordz stated, “The Meme Lordz game incorporates random numbers in many places, so we wanted to provide users with a solution that fosters trust and showcases the powerful decentralised nature of blockchain technology. When I learned about Chainlink VRF, I was blown away by its abilities and the potential applications we could build using its tamper-proof RNG. There couldn’t be a better technology to implement the randomness solutions we were looking for!”
Grant Award
On Friday, Chainlink (LINK), a blockchain abstraction layer that enables universally connected smart contracts, declared via blogpost that the DeFi Alliance—a leading decentralized Web3-focused accelerator platform for DeFi, gaming, and NFT projects — had received a Chainlink Community Grant. As part of this grant, Chainlink is going to sponsor the DeFi Alliance Accelerator Program and join the Ecosystem Partner Program to help developers create hybrid smart contracts.
Discussing the importance of this grant for the DeFi Alliance, the company explained: “With this grant, the DeFi Alliance will be able to expand its Accelerator Program, helping train the best and brightest startups in DeFi, gaming, and NFTs utilizing Chainlink oracles. Through workshops and education sessions, startups connect with industry leaders and gain knowledge regarding the nuances of building within specific ecosystem verticals. By supporting innovative startups, the Web3 ecosystem as a whole can continue to grow at an accelerating pace and enable the creation of increasingly advanced permissionless financial applications.”
Current ecosystem partners include a wide range of protocols, such as Aave Grants, Uniswap Grants, Avalanche, Algorand, Filecoin, Polygon, Solana, Celo, and Polkadot, all of whom help DeFi Alliance participants by providing ecosystem-specific resources for startups.
