Hence, the successful $450M migration from Ronin Bridge to Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol of Chainlink focuses on enhancing cross-chain scalability and security. The platform revealed this development in a recent post shared on its official X account.
Ronin Effectively Migrates $450M to Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol of Chainlink
The Ronin Network has migrated $450M in terms of total value locked from its legacy Ronin Bridge to Chainlink CCIP. This development is a crucial move in boosting the security as well as scalability across chains. This follows an intense RFP procedure that took place in 2024’s end. At that time, the Ronin validators majorly selected Chainlink CCIP as the exclusive cross-chain infrastructure for the platform.
The renovated Ronin Bridge, which is now driven by Chainlink CCIP, backs streamlined token transactions linking Ronin with major blockchains like Ethereum. Moreover, consumers are permitted to bridge a broad range of assets like $ANIMA, $PIXEL, $SLP, $AXS, $USDC, $WETH, $ETH, and latest integrated $WBTC. A crucial factor of the new upgrade is the $WBTC smart contract’s deployment, allowing 1:1 swaps from legacy $WBTC contract for transfers across chains.

According to Ronin, the selection of CCIP lets the platform adopt the finest security infrastructure for interoperability across chains. This development will reportedly assist it in growing its ecosystem by permitting builders to develop unique cross-chain applications.
