Microsoft-backed Space and Time Labs has unveiled the SXT Chain testnet, a blockchain for DeFi smart contracts backed by zero-knowledge (ZK). Built to increase data availability, the SXT Chain is positioned to support developers with a versatile data structure and blockchain connectivity.
Space and Time Expanding Access to Blockchain Data with SXT Chain
SXT Chain offers developers a decentralized data source to index data from primary blockchains such as Ethereum ($ETH) and ZKsync. SXT facilitates data access, query, and verification through zero-knowledge proofs so developers can leverage data for various uses. With the aid of the Proof of SQL system, SXT provides sub-second ZK-proven SQL database queries that can easily be implemented on smart contracts.
This innovation addresses a core limitation in decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms. Traditionally, lending rates were fixed across all users due to the lack of data access on borrower credit history. Through SXT’s SQL interface, lending protocols can connect the wallet’s on-chain loan history to a credit score verified with ZK-proof to deliver converted rates.
Integration with ZKsync and Chainlink for Secure, Scalable Solutions
Space and Time is partnering with ZKsync to support seamless smart contract deployment and launch a ZK rollup within the Elastic Chain ecosystem. The ZK rollup will enable developers to deploy Solidity smart contracts and access decentralized applications (dApps), such as payment handling and staking, on top of SXT.
Moreover, SXT will integrate with the Chainlink Network to streamline ZK-proof verification. Chainlink Functions will allow developers to directly connect SXT’s ZK-proven data results to their smart contracts, enhancing the options for scalable, data-driven smart contracts.
Digital Asset, backed by Microsoft venture capital M12 Ventures, partners with Microsoft’s AI Innovation Center to advance blockchain. Microsoft’s CVP of Global Industry Marketing, Kathleen Mitford acknowledged the role of the SXT Chain in enabling next-gen blockchain solutions.
Currently, the SXT Chain testnet is available for developers and community members, and it offers Galxe quests and tools that are crucial for building data-heavy decentralized applications based on ZK technology.
