- Zama becomes the default confidentiality layer for the T-REX Ledger
- Privacy, compliance, and cross-chain links built into public blockchains
- FHE-powered private settlement so big firms can adopt it safely at scale
T-REX Network has partnered with Zama to build native confidentiality into the T-REX Ledger.
T-REX Network is the multi-chain RWA orchestration layer. It is supported by Apex Group, which services $3.5 trillion in assets. Zama is the pioneer in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), a way to work on data while it stays encrypted.
This deal is a key step in bringing regulated financial markets onchain. It joins Zama’s encryption skills with the ERC-3643 standard, which now secures $32 billion in tokenized assets.
Apex Group has also recently committed to adopt the T-REX Ledger as its default system. It targets $100 billion in tokenized assets by June 2027.
The Missing Layer for Big Firms
Decentralized blockchains are public by design. Every transaction, balance, and position can be seen by anyone, forever. For regulated financial markets, this is a deal-breaker.
For years, banks and funds answered by building private chains. They wanted the control and privacy that public chains could not give. But in doing so, they built new silos and gave up the ability to connect. In the end, they got little of the efficiency blockchain promised.
Big firms cannot risk exposing private investor data, portfolio positions, and trading plans on a public ledger. Yet without public blockchains, the efficiency and links promised for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) stay out of reach.
Now, with privacy and control right at the token level, they can finally use linked public ledgers. They do not have to give up compliance and security. This is a crucial step for these firms to scale RWAs.
Privacy, Rules and Links in One System
The T-REX Ledger is a neutral Layer 2 blockchain for compliant digital securities that work across chains. It serves as the single source of truth across many chains.
It is built to serve tokens issued on the ERC-3643 standard. It brings identity and compliance into one shared system. That system is designed to connect with major public blockchains.
Through this partnership, Zama will provide the native privacy layer for the T-REX Ledger using FHE. FHE is a cryptographic method that lets smart contracts compute without ever needing to decrypt the data.
This lets financial firms issue, manage, and trade digital assets on the upcoming T-REX public blockchains. Private data stays private, with the same care people expect from traditional finance.
The deal was born within a working group of the ERC3643 association. It tackles one of the biggest barriers to blockchain use by big firms. The goal is to get the efficiency of public chains while keeping the privacy that regulated markets require.
Adding Zama’s FHE protocol to the T-REX Ledger gives a base that can scale, follows the rules, and protects privacy. On that base, big-firm finance can run onchain.
Setting the Standard for Private Onchain Finance
“The T-REX Ledger was built to be the trusted multi-chain orchestration layer for institutional RWAs, but trust also means privacy,” said Joachim Lebrun, Co-Founder of T-REX Network and Lead Author of the ERC-3643 standard.
“Integrating Zama’s FHE Protocol directly into the T-REX Ledger means institutions can finally operate fully onchain without exposing their confidential data to the world. That is the missing piece for unlocking real institutional scale.”
“Our goal is to make Zama the confidentiality layer for public blockchains, enabling institutions and investors to operate onchain with the same level of privacy they expect offchain,” said Dr. Rand Hindi, Co-Founder and CEO of Zama.
“This collaboration with T-REX Network demonstrates that confidentiality is not an optional feature for institutional blockchain adoption; it is foundational infrastructure. Together, we are enabling digital asset markets to scale securely, efficiently, and with trust.”
Privacy as a Shared Base
T-REX Network and Zama are building the FHE privacy layer right into the T-REX Ledger. This makes privacy a core part of tokenization for big firms, not an add-on.
This shared base lets regulated firms join public blockchain networks. They can do so without risking their security or market integrity.
The partnership is a key step toward wide use of tokenized real-world assets by big firms. In this model, compliance, links between chains, and privacy are built in from the start.
About T-REX Network
T-REX Network is the largest ecosystem for compliant RWA tokenization built on the ERC-3643 standard, with more than $32 billion in assets tokenized. It was born from years of industry teamwork. T-REX exists to solve the core challenge of scaling tokenization across blockchains without breaking compliance.
It has two main parts. T-REX Ledger is a canonical cross-chain compliance reference layer. The T-REX AppStore connects ERC-3643 assets to apps that work with them natively. Together, they let regulated assets move to wherever liquidity is, with speed, trust, and control.
Its mission is to turn tokenization from isolated pilots into a connected, compliant open finance system that finally works at global scale.
About Zama
Zama is a cryptography company building state-of-the-art Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) solutions for blockchain. Its protocol enables privacy on public blockchains. It lets digital assets be issued, managed, and traded privately onchain.
Zama was founded by FHE pioneer Dr. Pascal Paillier and entrepreneur Dr. Rand Hindi. It brings together one of the world’s largest teams of FHE researchers and engineers. It also backs a global group of developers who build private apps.
