- A new model that puts learning first. It aims to help more people use crypto in a sound way, start businesses, and join the digital economy.
- Unicoin Foundation will advance ‘Crypto for Good’ and expand ‘Global Financial Inclusion.’
Unicoin Inc. today announced the official launch of the Unicoin Foundation. It is a mission-driven group. It aims to use blockchain to create real social impact and widen access to the digital economy.
The launch fits with the market changes and clearer rules brought in under U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Paul Atkins. His approach stresses openness, responsible innovation, and clear rules for digital assets.
This step shows Unicoin’s long-held focus on compliance and accountability. It also reflects its goal of a crypto ecosystem that lasts and includes everyone.
A New Era: Crypto as a Force for Good
The Unicoin Foundation is built around its main project, “Crypto for Good,”. It aims to show how cryptocurrencies can help wider social and economic goals.
Through education and ecosystem programs, the Foundation is building an easy way into the digital economy. It targets groups that have been left out of crypto in the past.
Within its Crypto for Good plan, it presents digital assets as a tool. That tool can widen access, opportunity, and participation across global markets.
Education First
Its education-first approach focuses on money skills and building wealth over time. It helps people move from just saving to taking an active part in both traditional and digital markets.
Support for Entrepreneurs
The Foundation also helps new businesses grow. It offers:
- Hands-on training
- Mentorship
- Startup support
Participants gain practical skills in AI, blockchain, and Web3. They can use them to build and grow ventures. The goal is to shift the story from speculation to knowledge, ownership, and value creation. New to the tech? Start with our guide on what a blockchain is.
Strengthening Trust Through Transparency and Compliance
Setting up the Unicoin Foundation shows the company is acting early. It wants to be open and well run. The new rules for the sector stress these same values.
Unicoin is moving its social and learning work into an independent foundation. This shows it cares about doing the right thing. It also shows it plans for the long term.
“The future of crypto will be defined by trust, education, and real-world impact,” said Silvina Moschini, co-founder of Unicoin.
A Strategic Engine for Ecosystem Growth
Beyond its social mission, The Unicoin Foundation is expected to play a key role for Unicoin. It should help to:
- Boost Unicoin’s name around the world
- Grow its community
- Help more people start to use it
By reaching new audiences and building trust, the Foundation supports the long-term growth and health of the Unicoin ecosystem.
A set of key impact areas backs up these efforts. They turn the mission into value that can be measured:
- Market expansion: The Foundation reaches out to women and to groups that are often left out, all over the world. This brings in new users. It also helps more people take part in the digital economy.
- Ecosystem development: It backs founders, developers, and others with new ideas. This helps create new tools and uses within the Unicoin network.
- Community engagement: It builds a global network of people who know the space and can act. They speak up for the ecosystem and help it grow.
“With the Unicoin Foundation, we are creating a structure that not only advances responsible innovation, but also expands access to opportunity, ensuring that the benefits of digital assets are more inclusive, transparent, and meaningful for communities worldwide, added Alex Konanykhin, co-founder and CEO of Unicoin.”
Governance and Partnerships
The Unicoin Foundation will be run apart from Unicoin Inc. It will be guided by three values. It must be open, take responsibility, and show results it can measure.
Robert Newman will chair the Foundation. He is a seasoned entrepreneur and one of Unicoin’s largest investors.
A board of 27 directors will govern the Foundation. All of them are Unicoin investors elected by shareholder vote. This keeps governance closely tied to the wider community.
This step follows a major governance decision within the ecosystem:
- More than 4,000 Unicoin shareholders took part in the vote
- Nearly 99% approved the move to an independent Foundation structure
- Managerial efforts will be formally transferred from Unicoin Inc. to the Foundation
The change aligns the ecosystem with SEC Chair Paul Atkins’ proposed “token taxonomy” framework.
Under this framework, some digital tools and functional tokens may fall outside securities registration rules. This applies if they do not rely on managerial efforts for profit. For daily updates on rules like these, see our crypto news today page.
