But without clear rules, the supply remains constrained.

If inflation continues to surprise to the downside, the political appetite for aggressive fiscal tightening could wane, giving regulators more room to focus on long-term frameworks rather than short-term market cooling measures. Markets are fickle with single data releases. The July PPI and CPI prints, along with revised GDP estimates, will matter enormously.
