The CEO and co-founder of investment App Bamboo is on a crusade to enhance access to investment and increase cryptocurrency adoption. The Perth-based entrepreneur wants to use his App to democratize finance, using blockchain.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Phil George wants to use his Bamboo micro investment App to improve people’s understanding and uptake of investment opportunities related to emerging technologies like blockchain that are disrupting the world of Finance and Economics. Phil George explained:
“Our platform aims to provide access to different investment opportunities like cryptocurrencies.”
Micro Investments to Crypto
The App that will be launched in Australia and the US has been designed like the up-and-coming Raiz Invest App that enables users to invest their spare change into chosen portfolios. Bamboo users will convert any spare change into digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bamboo’s creator is looking at the bigger picture.
He will allow investors to look further into micro investments to include commodities and real estate.
George’s vision is to widen the uptake and adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology its new paradigm shift and everyone should get exposure. George explained:
“We believed that blockchain represented new technologies and opportunities but were far too difficult to have any level of exposure to, […] we want to make products and tools that made it easy for anyone to get involved. We call it democratizing finance. The micro investment app is really the first and most obvious thing we do to make these opportunities accessible to everyone.”
Global Backing
Bamboo’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Peter Hume explained that their App has been designed to demystify the entire process of cryptocurrency investment since the niche is currently shrouded in highly technical clichés that somehow locks out most the uninformed public. Phil George revealed that the Bamboo project had received a thumbs-up locally and in parts of Europe and the United States. Phil stated:
“A lot of the third world nations are eager, if not more eager because the barrier to entry is so low with the app that everyone feels that they have an opportunity to be a part of it and they do.”
Bamboo is a mobile App that’s been founded on the platform for simplifying the process of cryptocurrency investing to bridge the gap in the market.
The App allows the placing of a user’s micro-savings into different crypto assets. The initiative comes when cryptocurrency exchanges are experiencing huge sign-ups because of the increased interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
