Dr. Nicholas’ remarks
The leadership team of the Foundation is strengthened with the addition of Dr. Nicolas Jacquemart, who has extensive experience working in the legal field. His most recent position was on the fintech desk at FINMA, which is Switzerland’s organization in charge of supervising the financial system. In the past, he worked for prominent legal firms in Switzerland in a variety of capacities. The convergence of blockchain technology and regulated financial markets was the focus of his doctoral research at the University of Zurich, where he also earned his doctorate in law.
Nicolas Jacquemart, who is excited about his upcoming post as a chief legal officer (CLO), said that this is a fantastic moment to be moving into the assigned role. The Cardano Foundation takes its commitment to legal involvement and education very seriously, and its interest in the blockchain realm is clear. Opportunities for collaboration are many, and he is thrilled to be working at the interface between the Cardano ecosystem and the larger blockchain community, as well as with regulators and those in the legal profession.
