Quick Answer: Gala (GALA) trades near $0.00175 as of October 28, 2026, with a market cap of about $89 million (#193 on CoinMarketCap), down about 70% since the end of 2025 and about 99.8% below its November 2021 all-time high of $0.8367. Central estimates from the two models we track put GALA between about $0.00097 (CoinLore) and $0.0016 (CoinCodex) at the end of 2026, both below today’s price, and between about $0.00047 (CoinCodex) and $0.0035 (CoinLore) in 2030. South Korean exchange Bithumb ended GALA trading on October 19, citing disclosure concerns, according to Economy Block, which cited the exchange’s notice. Coinone plans to do the same on November 19, citing an August 18 security incident on GalaChain and late disclosure.
GALA is the token of Gala, a web3 entertainment ecosystem known for Gala Games, and the gas token of GalaChain, Gala’s own layer 1 blockchain. New GALA is issued to operators of Gala’s Founder’s Nodes, and CoinMarketCap’s circulating count has grown about 8% this year to about 50.9 billion. The price peaked on January 17, fell about 84% to a 2026 low on August 19, the day after the GalaChain incident, rose about 107% to an intraday high on October 3 and has since fallen about 36%.
This update covers the current GALA price, the main 2026 developments, the history of GALA v2 and earlier security incidents, the latest forecasts for 2026 to 2030 and 2040, and what it would take for GALA to reach $0.01, $0.1 or $1.
Key Takeaways
- GALA trades about 99.8% below its all-time high of $0.8367, set on November 26, 2021, and about 11.6 times its all-time low of $0.000151 from December 2020
- The token is down about 70% since the end of 2025: it peaked at $0.0082 on January 17, hit its 2026 low of $0.00132 on August 19 and lost about 24% in October through October 27
- On August 18, about 2.0 billion GALA and about 37 other tokens were moved out of nine GalaChain wallets with replayed signatures, according to Gala’s post-mortem; Gala paused its bridge and says it found no evidence that any private key was compromised
- Bithumb ended GALA trading on October 19 after citing disclosure concerns, according to Economy Block, which cited the exchange’s notice, and Coinone will end it on November 19, citing the August incident and late disclosure; Upbit lists no GALA market and Coinbase’s GALA-USD market is delisted, while GALA still trades on Binance, Kraken and OKX
- CoinMarketCap counts about 50.9 billion GALA in circulation, up about 8.4% from about 47.0 billion at the end of 2025 and above the 50 billion maximum CoinGecko lists
- Central estimates from the two models we track put GALA between about $0.00097 and $0.0016 at the end of 2026, both below today’s price, and between about $0.00047 and $0.0035 in 2030

Sources: CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. CoinGecko shows a similar supply but ranked GALA about #300 and reported 24-hour volume of about $9 million on October 28, and lists an all-time high of $0.8248 and an all-time low of $0.0001347. This article measures the year-to-date change from the December 31, 2025 close; CoinMarketCap’s own figure starts from the January 1 close and shows a decline of about 72%. Both sites count slightly more than 50.9 billion GALA, above the 50 billion maximum supply CoinGecko lists, and we could not reconcile the difference from public data. A token filing compiled by Blockworks says the 50 billion cap is enforced in GALA’s Ethereum contract and notes that reported totals depend on which chains are counted.
What Is Gala (GALA)?
Gala (GALA) is the token of Gala, a web3 entertainment ecosystem whose brands include Gala Games, Gala Music and Gala Film. GALA is the gas token of GalaChain, a layer 1 blockchain that Gala built for its own games, music and film products and has since opened to outside developers and projects, according to CoinMarketCap’s project description. GALA also exists as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and as a token on Solana, and Gala runs its own bridge between GalaChain and other networks. More background is available on the official Gala website.
New GALA is issued to operators of Gala’s Founder’s Nodes. In July 2024, a governance proposal published on Gala’s news site asked node operators to vote on replacing GALA’s halving schedule with a daily emission equal to 0.25% of the gap between total supply and maximum supply; a token disclosure filing compiled by Blockworks says the change took effect in August 2024 after the vote, and that GALA spent as gas on GalaChain is burned. Under that rule, daily issuance shrinks as total supply approaches the cap. CoinMarketCap’s count nonetheless rose by about 3.96 billion GALA, or about 8.4%, between the end of 2025 and October 27, 2026, and we could not tell from public data how much of that came from node rewards.
Gala News: What Has Happened in 2026
GalaChain security incident. On August 18, unauthorized transfers moved about 2.0 billion GALA and about 37 other tokens out of nine GalaChain wallets, according to a post-mortem Gala published on September 14. The largest single transfer was about 1.64 billion GALA. Gala says the attacker replayed 74 signatures taken from failed transactions, which a flaw in how signatures were checked allowed, and that it found “no evidence that any private key was compromised” and no evidence that passwords, seed phrases or credentials were obtained. It paused its bridge, revoked the operator’s account roles, deployed a fix that it says came within 45 minutes of the last unauthorized transaction and filed a complaint with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. Gala said the flawed logic had passed earlier third-party reviews and that it had commissioned a new review in September. The post says the proceeds were bridged out and remain traced across four chains, and it does not mention recovery or compensation. At the August 17 close, 2.0 billion GALA were worth about $3.3 million by our calculation. GALA fell about 14% on August 18 and hit its 2026 low the next day.
Bithumb and Coinone end GALA trading. Bithumb, which had placed GALA on its caution list, announced on September 18 that it would end GALA trading on October 19, with withdrawals supported until November 18, according to the Korean outlets Economy Block and DealSite. According to Economy Block, which cited the exchange’s notice, Bithumb said Gala’s explanatory materials had not resolved the reasons for the designation and that, after reviewing the timely disclosure of material matters and the transparency and reasonableness of change procedures, GALA no longer met its criteria for continued trading. Bithumb’s public market list no longer includes GALA. On October 19, Coinone announced that it will end GALA trading on November 19 and withdrawals on December 21. Its notice cites a hacking or other security incident on August 18 involving wallets managed by the issuer or operator, or the ledger on which GALA is issued and stored, whose cause it says had not been identified or remedied, and a failure to disclose important information in a timely manner, and says Gala’s explanatory materials did not resolve the reasons for its earlier caution designation. Upbit’s public market list shows no GALA market.
GalaSwap and account changes. On October 2, Gala said all liquidity pools on GalaSwap, the decentralized exchange on GalaChain, would move to a V2 version, and that liquidity providers would have to withdraw and open new positions, while swaps would continue without any action. On October 5, it said email login is being retired and asked users to export their accounts to Web3 wallets such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet, with the timeline to be announced later.
Other official updates. Earlier in the year, Gala’s news site published posts on access to more than 60 tokens on GalaChain (March 24), on ChainMeter, a tool it says simplifies the GalaChain experience (March 27), and on Gala Playworks, which it describes as an AI game maker for browser games (June 17). In October, Gala Games posted a series of “Eternal Night” updates for its game Mirandus.
GALA v2, Earlier Incidents and Legal Disputes
The pGALA bridge incident (2022). In early November 2022, a misconfiguration of pNetwork’s bridge for GALA let someone take control of the contract for pGALA, a version of GALA that the bridge operator pNetwork issued on BNB Chain, and huge amounts of pGALA were minted and sold on PancakeSwap, draining about $4.3 million to $4.5 million in BNB from its pool, according to pNetwork’s post-mortem and reports by The Block and Cointelegraph. pNetwork called its own activity a “white hat” move. In March 2023, Gala announced a lawsuit seeking about $27.7 million from pNetwork, alleging negligence and tortious interference; pNetwork said it was surprised by the suit, according to Cointelegraph. We found no public ruling in the case.
GALA v2 (2023). In April 2023, Gala announced that it would replace the original token with GALA v2, a new Ethereum contract that it said would bring enhanced burn mechanisms, security improvements and future upgradeability. Holders received v2 tokens one for one in an airdrop based on a May 15, 2023 snapshot, and support for v1 ended, according to Decrypt. Coinbase said it would disable GALA v1 trading on May 12, 2023, ahead of the snapshot, and would not support the v2 airdrop, according to Decrypt, and its exchange data still lists the GALA-USD market as delisted. CoinMarketCap tracks the v2 contract and notes the migration on its GALA page.
The May 2024 exploit. On May 20, 2024, someone minted 5 billion GALA on Ethereum without authorization, then worth more than $200 million, and sold about 600 million, worth about $21 million, according to The Block. Gala said it removed the unauthorized access within 45 minutes, a Gala co-founder said “We messed up our internal controls,” and the remaining 4.4 billion GALA were burned. The next day, the wallet linked to the exploit transferred out 5,913.2 ETH, about $22.5 million, in what The Block described as an apparent partial return of funds. Gala said it was working with US and international authorities. Coinone designated GALA for caution on May 21, 2024, jointly with the other members of the DAXA group of Korean exchanges, citing the seizure of administrator rights and unplanned issuance, and Bithumb and Coinone later lifted the designation, according to Korean media. GALA fell about 12% intraday on May 20, 2024 but closed almost unchanged.
Co-founder lawsuits (2023). In late August 2023, Gala’s chief executive at the time and another co-founder, then a director, filed lawsuits against each other in Utah, each seeking the other’s removal from the company, according to Decrypt. We found no public final resolution of those suits.

CoinMarketCap’s GALA data start on September 18, 2020, when daily volume was about $89,000. GALA hit its all-time low of $0.000151 on December 28, 2020, ended 2020 at $0.00144, then rose more than 300-fold in 2021, reaching its all-time high of $0.8367 on November 26 and ending the year at $0.451. It fell 96% in 2022. CoinMarketCap calculated GALA’s market cap with a circulating supply of about 7.0 billion until at least mid-May 2023; its count was about 27.1 billion at the end of 2023, 36.6 billion at the end of 2024, 47.0 billion at the end of 2025 and 50.9 billion now, so older market caps are not comparable with today’s. GALA closed 2024 at $0.0343, lost 83% in 2025 and last closed above $0.01 on November 10, 2025.
In 2026, GALA rose about 33% from its 2025 close to $0.0078 on January 17, its highest close of the year, after reaching $0.0082 intraday. It fell about 17% on February 5, its worst day of the year, when a market-wide sell-off cut Bitcoin by about 14%. June was its worst month, with a loss of about 29%. GALA fell about 14% on August 18, the day of the GalaChain incident, and hit its 2026 low of $0.00132 the next day. It jumped about 36% on August 21 on about $163 million of volume, then lost about 12% the following day. September was its best month, with a gain of about 35%, and GALA rose about 18% on October 2, reaching $0.00274 the next day. It is down about 24% for October through October 27. Its 24-hour volume of about $33 million is close to its 2026 daily average of about $32 million.
GALA Price Prediction 2026
With about two months left in the year, the central estimates of both models we track put GALA below today’s price at the end of 2026.
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2026; headline target $0.001633) | $0.001623 | $0.001628 | $0.001633 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $0.000579 | $0.000965 | $0.00674 |
CoinCodex expects about $0.0016 in December, a drop of about 7%; its headline target is the top of a narrow December range. CoinLore’s base case of $0.000965, given only in its text, would be a fall of about 45%, while its bull case of $0.00674 would be about 3.8 times today’s price. Both pages are dated October 28 and use a price within about 1% of CoinMarketCap’s.
We do not use the figures from CoinDataFlow, whose GALA page shows a pattern similar to its pages for other coins we checked this week, with modest gains to 2027 followed by a jump of about four times between its 2028 and 2029 averages, which here puts GALA at about 9.7 times today’s price in 2029. Changelly’s page, dated October 28, gives a 2026 average of $0.00163 and a 2030 average of $0.000454, close to CoinCodex’s figures, so we do not list it separately. BeInCrypto’s GALA page is dated February 7, 2026, shows a price of $0.0043 and contains placeholder values such as $0.00.
GALA trades about 14% below its 50-day moving average of $0.00204 and about 27% below its 200-day average of $0.00241, with a 14-day RSI of about 37, according to CoinCodex, which rates sentiment as bearish.
Range of central 2026 estimates: about $0.00097 to $0.0016.
GALA Price Prediction 2027
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (monthly range) | $0.0007837 | $0.001261 | $0.001631 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $0.000851 | $0.00142 | $0.0118 |
The central 2027 estimates range from about $0.0013 at CoinCodex, the average of its monthly forecasts and about 28% below today’s price, to $0.0014 at CoinLore, about 19% below. CoinCodex’s monthly path dips to about $0.0013 in the spring, recovers to about $0.0015 in mid-2027 and then falls to about $0.00083 by December; its highest 2027 value, $0.001631 in July, is still below today’s price. CoinLore’s bull case of $0.0118 would be about 6.7 times today’s price. CoinCodex says its forecasts are generated algorithmically.
GALA Price Prediction 2028 and 2029
| Source | 2028 (central) | 2029 (central) |
|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (average of monthly forecasts) | $0.000748 | $0.000538 |
| CoinLore (base case) | $0.00220 | $0.00234 |
For 2028 and 2029, the two models diverge. CoinCodex’s path keeps falling, to about $0.00041 by December 2029, while CoinLore’s base case rises above today’s price, by about 26% in 2028 and about 34% in 2029. CoinLore’s bull case for 2029 ($0.0277) is higher than its bull case for 2030 ($0.0186).
GALA Price Prediction 2030
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (monthly range; headline target $0.000466) | $0.0003566 | $0.0004734 | $0.0005972 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $0.00212 | $0.00354 | $0.0186 |
The two central estimates for 2030 point in opposite directions. CoinCodex’s average of about $0.00047 would be a fall of about 73%, and its headline target of $0.000466 lies within its December 2030 range. CoinLore’s base case of $0.00354 would about double the price, a gain of about 102%. CoinLore’s page says GALA could rise to $0.02 by 2030, close to its bull case of $0.0186, which is about 10.6 times the current price.
All forecasts are third-party model estimates, not investment advice.
GALA Price Prediction 2040
Long-range forecasts are highly speculative. CoinCodex projects about $0.0022 by 2040, about 27% above today’s price, and about $0.0093 by 2050. CoinLore is more optimistic, with a 2040 base case of $0.0288, about 16 times today’s price, and a bull case of $0.0876, in line with the peak of about $0.09 by 2040 that its page mentions.
What Drives the GALA Price?
- Security and trust: GALA has been hit by security incidents in 2022, 2024 and 2026, the latest on GalaChain on August 18, when GALA fell about 14% in a day.
- Exchange access: Bithumb ended GALA trading on October 19, Coinone will end it on November 19, Upbit lists no GALA market and Coinbase’s GALA-USD market is delisted, while Binance, Kraken, OKX and Bybit still list GALA.
- Supply: CoinMarketCap’s count has grown about 8.4% in 2026, and new GALA is still issued to node operators; the 10 largest addresses hold about 43% of the supply, according to CoinMarketCap.
- Ecosystem activity: GalaSwap’s move to V2, the shift to wallet-only access and new game updates will show whether GalaChain keeps its users after the incident.
- The wider market: like most altcoins, GALA tends to move with Bitcoin and overall risk appetite, as on February 5, when GALA fell about 17% and Bitcoin about 14%. Our Bitcoin price prediction covers the market leader.
Can GALA Reach $0.01, $0.1 or $1?
Only $0.01 appears in the models we track, and mostly in optimistic scenarios. CoinLore’s base case first passes $0.01 in 2035, at $0.0125, and its bull cases pass $0.01 from 2027 ($0.0118), while CoinCodex projects about $0.0093 by 2050. Neither model reaches $0.1 or $1: CoinLore’s highest figure through 2041 is its 2040 bull case of $0.0876, and the highest value in CoinCodex’s monthly table, which runs to 2057, is $0.0269. GALA last closed above $0.01 on November 10, 2025, and has never traded at $1; its record is $0.8367. With about 50.9 billion GALA in circulation, each price level implies a market cap that can be compared with other coins.
| GALA Price | Market Cap Needed | Multiple of Today’s Price | For Comparison |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.01 | About $509M | About 5.7x | Above Immutable ($274M), the largest gaming token we checked, today |
| $0.0619 | About $3.15B | About 35x | GALA’s market cap at the end of 2021; just below Hedera ($3.3B) today |
| $0.1 | About $5.1B | About 57x | Between Avalanche ($3.9B) and Stellar ($6.0B) today |
| $0.8367 (ATH) | About $42.6B | About 478x | Between TRON ($31.5B) and Solana ($59.6B) today |
| $1 | About $50.9B | About 571x | Below Solana ($59.6B); about 18% of Ethereum ($285B) today |
At $0.1, GALA’s market cap would be about 1.6 times its value at the end of 2021, when CoinMarketCap counted about 7.0 billion GALA in circulation; today’s count is about 7.3 times that. At its record price, GALA would now be worth about $42.6 billion. Because new GALA is still issued to node operators, a higher price would have to come from demand: real use of GalaChain and of Gala’s games, music and film products, renewed exchange access after the Korean delisting and a strong altcoin market. For scale, GALA’s market cap of about $89 million is smaller than those of Immutable ($274 million), Axie Infinity ($166 million), Decentraland ($155 million) and The Sandbox ($140 million).
Key Risks of GALA
- Deep drawdown: GALA trades about 99.8% below its 2021 high, about 95% below its end-2024 close and about 84% lower than a year ago
- Security record: incidents in 2022 (pGALA, issued by pNetwork), 2024 (unauthorized minting of 5 billion GALA) and 2026 (about 2.0 billion GALA moved from nine GalaChain wallets); the 2026 post-mortem does not mention recovery or compensation
- Lost listings: Bithumb ended GALA trading on October 19, 2026, Coinone will end it on November 19 and Coinbase’s GALA-USD market is delisted; separately, Upbit lists no GALA market
- Supply growth: CoinMarketCap’s count rose about 8.4% in 2026 and now exceeds the 50 billion maximum CoinGecko lists, a gap we could not reconcile
- Concentration and control: the 10 largest addresses hold about 43% of the supply, according to CoinMarketCap, and Gala controls GalaChain’s bridge, which it paused on August 18
- Data gaps: CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko disagree on the all-time high ($0.8367 vs $0.8248), 24-hour volume (about $33 million vs about $9 million) and rank (#193 vs about #300)
- Model limits: forecasts extrapolate past prices, and the two models point in opposite directions for 2030, from a fall of about 73% to a gain of about 102%
Where to Buy GALA
GALA has spot markets on major exchanges including Binance (GALA/USDT), Kraken (GALA/USD and GALA/EUR), OKX, Bybit, Gate and MEXC, according to CoinGecko and Kraken’s public data. In South Korea, Bithumb ended GALA trading on October 19, Coinone will end it on November 19 and Upbit lists no GALA market. Coinbase’s exchange lists its GALA-USD market as delisted, and the GALA page on Coinbase’s website describes the old v1 token, so check the contract address before buying GALA through any app. Availability depends on your country, so check what each platform offers where you live. Is Gala (GALA) a Good Investment?
That depends on your view of Gala’s games, music and film products, whether GalaChain can attract real use and your tolerance for risk. The bull case rests on Gala’s long-running brands, a live layer 1 where GALA pays for gas, ongoing product work such as GalaSwap V2, listings on Binance and Kraken, and CoinLore’s base case, which about doubles the price by 2030. The bear case is that GALA trades about 99.8% below its high, has been hit by security incidents in 2022, 2024 and 2026, lost its Bithumb listing after the exchange cited disclosure concerns, according to Economy Block, which cited the exchange’s notice, will lose its Coinone listing in November, faces a growing supply, and both central estimates we track see GALA ending 2026 below today’s price.
Further losses are possible. Security, exchange decisions, supply growth, GalaChain usage and the wider altcoin market are the main known factors that could affect GALA over the next year. For more forecasts across the market, see our crypto price predictions.

Central estimates from the two models we track put GALA between about $0.00097 and $0.0016 at the end of 2026, against a late October price of about $0.00175. CoinLore’s base case is $0.000965, a fall of about 45%, and CoinCodex expects about $0.0016, a fall of about 7%. For 2030, CoinCodex expects about $0.00047, while CoinLore’s base case is $0.0035, about double today’s price.
What is the GALA price prediction for 2030?
The two models disagree. CoinCodex’s 2030 forecasts average about $0.00047, roughly 73% below the late October price, and its headline target is $0.000466. CoinLore’s base case of $0.00354 would about double the price, and its bull case is $0.0186, close to the $0.02 its page mentions. By 2040, CoinCodex projects about $0.0022 and CoinLore’s base case is $0.0288.
What is Gala Games and what is GALA used for?
Gala Games is the gaming brand of Gala, a web3 entertainment ecosystem that also includes Gala Music and Gala Film. GALA is the gas token of GalaChain, Gala’s own layer 1 blockchain, and also exists on Ethereum and Solana. New GALA is issued to operators of Gala’s Founder’s Nodes. The current token, GALA v2, replaced the original one through a one-for-one airdrop in May 2023.
What happened in the GalaChain security incident?
On August 18, 2026, unauthorized transfers moved about 2.0 billion GALA and about 37 other tokens out of nine GalaChain wallets, according to Gala’s post-mortem. Gala says the attacker replayed signatures from failed transactions and that it found no evidence that any private key was compromised. It paused its bridge, fixed the flaw and filed a complaint with the FBI. GALA fell about 14% that day.
What is the difference between GALA v1 and GALA v2?
GALA v2 is the Ethereum contract Gala introduced in 2023, citing enhanced burn mechanisms, security improvements and future upgradeability. Holders of the original token received v2 one for one in an airdrop based on a May 15, 2023 snapshot, and support for v1 ended. Coinbase said it would halt v1 trading on May 12, 2023 and not support the airdrop, according to Decrypt. CoinMarketCap now tracks the v2 contract.
Can GALA reach $1?
Not on any model we track; even CoinLore’s bull cases stay below $0.09 through 2041. With about 50.9 billion GALA in circulation, $1 would mean a market cap of about $50.9 billion, roughly 570 times today’s. GALA has never traded at $1. Its record of $0.8367 came in November 2021, when CoinMarketCap counted only about 7.0 billion GALA in circulation.
Is Gala a good investment?
That depends on your risk tolerance and your view of Gala’s business. Supporters point to its long-running games, music and film brands, a live blockchain where GALA pays for gas and listings on Binance and Kraken. Critics point to a 99.8% fall from the 2021 high, security incidents in 2022, 2024 and 2026, Korean delistings and a growing supply. Both central 2026 forecasts are below today’s price.
Where can I buy GALA?
GALA trades on major exchanges including Binance, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, Gate and MEXC, according to CoinGecko and Kraken’s data. Bithumb ended GALA trading on October 19, Coinone will end it on November 19, Upbit lists no GALA market and Coinbase’s GALA-USD market is delisted. GALA exists on GalaChain, Ethereum and Solana, so check which network an exchange uses before you withdraw.
