Over the past year, the Web3 industry has grown significantly both in recognition and adoption attracting various sectors of technology and financial firms. Earlier today, Iskra, a Web3 gaming company announced its strategic partnership with global blockchain technology company, HDLabs.
According to the announcement, Iskra said alongside its strategic partnership with the blockchain firm, it will also invest 100,000,000 in South Korea Won (KRW) for the continuous build-up of its Web3 gaming network.
Gearing For The Launch Of The First Game In Iskra’s Lineup
So far, Iskra has been working hard for the launch of its first game. Its latest partnership with HDLabs is said to mark the start of its long-term collaboration which includes the launch of 3 Kingdom Multiverse (3KM), the first game in Iskra’s lineup.
Junyoung Park Games Business Division Lead noted the partnership is aligned with the company’s goal to continue the exploration of robust gaming partnerships with other Web3 gaming projects and firms making their way into the ecosystem.
Park added, “This is why we partnered and invested with HDLabs, the first of many Web3 projects because we believe in their capability of giving games a Web3 edge and opening unprecedented opportunities for gamers.”
Notably, Iskra’s investment of 100,000,000 KRW in HDLabs was initiated through INO participation with Iskra purchasing 438 units of 3KM Mystery Box to be used for promotional marketing of the 3KM game and its related digital assets, including the first and second rounds of Iskra’s Daily Luck Spin and Mission Card quest.
Furthermore, Iskra and HDLabs are not the only firms experimenting their way into Web3. Yesterday, Tencent cloud, a cloud business for global tech companies disclosed its full entry into the Web3 ecosystem.
Prior to that, the Hong Kong government announced a HK$50 million grant from the government budget for the period 2023-24 for the expansion of the Web3 ecosystem. The government will additionally form a task force to deal with the development of virtual assets. This will be focused on the provision of recommendations regarding responsible and sustainable advancement in the respective sector.
