NFT platform RECUR announced a multi-year partnership with LEARFIELD to create a marketplace for college-licensed digital collectibles

LEARFIELD and RECUR have announced a comprehensive collaboration to promote the production and acceptance of college digital items and collectibles through RECUR’s collegiate NFT experience, NFTU.com. The long-term business connection brings together two industry heavyweights.
Additionally, student athletes will be able to opt into NFT possibilities through this new relationship, which will be powered by CLC’s COMPASS NIL contract management and disclosure platform. Now, with a team of 150 and $50 million raised in the largest Series A fundraising round in the NFT industry last September, Recur was prepared to expand its reach into college sports. The business had obtained around 50 collegiate licenses but had not yet begun developing digital products.
RECUR will collaborate with LEARFIELD’s integrated firms and partner institutions during the course of the multiyear agreement to offer the following:
- Commemorative NFT tickets and packages through Paciolan
- Integration of NFTU.com, the collegiate NFT marketplace, into official athletic websites and apps built by Sidearm Sports
- Licensing administration and management through CLC
- NFT category-specific college sports marketing sponsorship with LEARFIELD partner institutions
- Product development, asset creation and brand-sponsorable NFT offerings from LEARFIELD
