The latest City Launch wave 1 includes 1,750 virtual plots of land spread across three cities namely London, Glasgow, and Dublin.
Affyn, a Singapore-headquartered mobile game developer, announced the launch of new plots in new cities on its NEXUS World Metaverse. The new parcels of land have already sold out in London and will be released across Dublin and Glasgow as part of the 44 cities that will join the metaverse in the coming months.
The latest reveal of cities follows the successful “City Launch Wave 0”, which debuted Singapore as the first city on the NEXUS World Metaverse. The first public sale of Nexus Virtual Land in Singapore saw over 2,000 plots of land, representing real geographical places, sell out in 2 hours and nine minutes. Similar excitement and participation are expected when “City Launch Wave 1” opens to the public on February 9th, 2023 at 8:00 PM (GMT 8) / 12:00 PM (UTC), a tweet from the team reads.
Once opened, users can plant their ‘Flags’ and claim virtual land within the NEXUS World Metaverse. Each plot of land is a hexagonal tile that averages slightly above 15,000 square meters and can be used to build real estate, facilities and monuments. This helps to attract other players to your land and you receive rewards in turn, increasing the value of the plot of land.
The plots of land also have different rarity levels, with the most common plots of land having a lower value than the rarer ones. The rarity levels include Common, Rare, Epic, and Mythical. City Launch Wave 1 will open to the public in two phases, Early Access round for whitelisted customers and the Public round. The Early Access round will have 350 Freehold plots of land for sale including 289 common, 53 rare, 7 epic and 1 mythical freehold plot of Land. The Early Access round launches 24 hours before the Public round.
