Ripple, a famous provider of blockchain-based enterprise solutions across traditional and digital finance, is excited to announce the wonderful news of getting a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license. This license is issued by Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) under the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.
The basic purpose of this license is to enable Ripple to offer fully MiCA-compliant crypto services across the European Union while maintaining a unified regulatory framework. A CASP license authorizes a company to provide regulated crypto-related services, such as custody of crypto assets, crypto trading and exchange services, and the transfer and settlement of digital assets. Ripple Strengthens EU Digital Asset Infrastructure Through CASP Approval
The CASP license is connected with Ripple’s existing EU Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, which permits European banks, fintechs, and corporates to access Ripple’s full crypto asset and stablecoin payments infrastructure. This will allow collecting and paying out via a single integration for the first time. On the other hand, this license is another step for Ripple to expand into wider cryptoasset activities in the region.
