Shiba Inu outperformed Bitcoin and Ethereum to become the most viewed cryptocurrency on CoinMarketCap crypto data aggregator in 2021
2021 has no doubt been a great year for Shiba Inu (SHIB) as the memecoin continues to record milestone after milestone. Achieving another feat, the DOGE killer has emerged as the most viewed cryptocurrency on the popular price tracking platform CoinMarketCap in 2021, surpassing top crypto assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE).
Indeed, the decentralized token built on the Ethereum network is the most viewed digital asset among the top 200 cryptos with 188,019,378 views as of December 25, on CoinMarketCap, a cryptocurrency tracker used for checking real-time coin prices, volume, and the supply of coins.
Shiba Inu has now been listed by virtually all major exchanges, including Coinbase, Bitfinex, Kraken and Gemini. Bitstamp, the number one exchange in Europe, will add support for SHIB in 2022 after postponing the listing due to technical difficulties. The Dogecoin competitor was among the most traded cryptocurrencies in India, according to data provided by local exchanges.  Â
Meanwhile, data collected by leading news company Global Data showed that social media conversations about SHIB grew 16,000% this year, giving memecoin the highest growth rate compared to to other cryptocurrencies ranked in the top 10.
