The Sandbox has partnered with Bitcoin hardware wallet business Ledger to encourage crypto education in Metaverse
The Sandbox Ain’t Slowing Down
Ledger, a popular hardware wallet manufacturer, wants to use Metaverse technology to help expand Bitcoin awareness and education. In its virtual environment, the wallet firm has teamed with The Sandbox to promote crypto education and security. Ledger will get 36 lands from the Sandbox, allowing it to establish an education and security centre in its Metaverse.
The Sandbox is carving out a place for Ledger in its Metaverse. Allowing the firm to educate its community members about crypto-security so they can protect their assets. The French company has been aggressively expanding its operations beyond traditional cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and now accepts NFTs as well. In early March, Ledger announced a limited edition of the Ledger Nano S Plus, a brand-new hardware wallet that supports NFTs by design.
Both Ledger and The Sandbox believe that direct experience is the best way to learn. Thus Ledger will use The Sandbox’s fundamental value proposition. Specially digital ownership in games to create educational gamified experiences. These experiences, created in collaboration with creative firm Swipe Back, will reward players with unique artifacts. While also incorporating usefulness into the rewards to offer victors with access to exclusive activities.

COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, said: “The Metaverse should offer limitless possibilities for creators and communities to collaborate, build, and share ownership of ideas and experiences in a worry-free way. We’ve joined forces with Ledger to further develop, enable, and secure these experiences with easy on-ramps. As The Sandbox metaverse grows, we’re putting emphasis on balancing user autonomy with security. Ledger is the perfect partner to help us innovate while protecting users’ assets in The Sandbox.”
In a press release, Ledger’s Chief Experience Officer Ian Rogers said: “Anyone using Web3 should understand how to secure their assets from hackers and scammers. This partnership with The Sandbox enables Ledger to launch unique Metaverse initiatives for education, security, and support.”
Also Rogers told Cointelegraph in an exclusive interview that the most crucial aspect of cooperating with The Sandbox is teaching people about security. He asserted: ”The reality is that educated people become Ledger customers, and so we just want to make sure that all people have all the education they need to be safe and to properly manage this incredible right and freedom that they have of self-custody. Self-custody really gives you personal freedom, but it’s also a responsibility. You have to take it very seriously to maintain that right and not lose it.”
