Yes, there are XRP ETFs. As of November 2, 2026, eleven XRP exchange-traded funds trade on US exchanges, from spot funds that hold XRP directly to futures-based and 2x leveraged products. The first, Teucrium’s 2x leveraged XXRP, launched in April 2025, and the first spot fund structured as a trust, Canary’s XRPC, followed on November 13, 2025. The five main spot funds held $1.42 billion in combined net assets on October 30, 2026, about 1.8% of XRP’s market value, and have drawn $1.81 billion in cumulative net inflows since launch, according to SoSoValue data.
If you’ve searched for a specific ticker, such as XRPI, XRPC, GXRP or XXRP, and found it hard to tell which fund is which, you’re not alone. These products launched within months of each other, with different issuers, structures and fees, and several of them do not hold XRP at all. Here’s the complete breakdown.
Key Takeaways
- Five spot XRP ETFs trade in the US: Bitwise (XRP), Canary Capital (XRPC), Franklin Templeton (XRPZ), Grayscale (GXRP) and 21Shares (TOXR). REX-Osprey’s XRPR holds XRP through a 1940 Act structure.
- Bitwise’s XRP ETF is the largest, with about $516 million in net assets, and Franklin’s XRPZ is the cheapest at 0.19% a year.
- XRPI holds CME XRP futures rather than XRP, while XRPT, XXRP and UXRP are 2x leveraged funds that reset daily and cost about 2.4% to 3.1% a year.
- Spot XRP ETFs took in $307.9 million in the third quarter of 2026, with August the best month of the year, but only about $19 million in October, when their net assets fell from $1.69 billion to $1.42 billion as XRP’s price dropped.
- The SEC cleared the way with generic listing standards on September 17, 2025, weeks after its case against Ripple ended. BlackRock has not filed for an XRP ETF.
- All of them can be bought through a standard brokerage account, without a crypto wallet or private keys.

Custodians named by the issuers include Coinbase Custody (Bitwise, Grayscale, 21Shares), Anchorage Digital (Grayscale, 21Shares), BitGo (Canary, 21Shares) and Gemini Trust (Canary).
Three of the eleven trade on Nasdaq: Canary’s XRPC and Volatility Shares’ XRPI and XRPT. A blended fund is often grouped with them: Cyber Hornet’s S&P 500 and XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF (XXX), also on Nasdaq, puts about a quarter of its assets in XRP. AXRP, another ticker that comes up in searches, is not a US fund but 21Shares’ XRP exchange-traded product on the SIX Swiss Exchange; 21Shares’ US fund trades as TOXR. We found no inverse XRP ETF trading in the US.

Source: SoSoValue daily data for the five spot funds (XRP, XRPC, XRPZ, GXRP and TOXR), read on November 2, 2026. Monthly, quarterly and weekly figures are sums of the daily flows.
Bitwise’s fund leads on cumulative inflows, with about $682 million by October 30, ahead of Franklin’s XRPZ at about $524 million and Canary’s XRPC at about $485 million. Flows have been uneven: the funds’ biggest day of 2026 was January 5, with about $46 million of inflows, and their best week of the year was August 24 to 28, at $110.5 million. October was quiet, and total net assets fell from $1.69 billion on October 1 to $1.42 billion on October 30, mostly because XRP’s price dropped. With XRP near $1.24 at about 18:00 UTC on November 2, according to CoinMarketCap, the five spot funds hold about 1.8% of XRP’s market value.
XRP ETFs vs Other Crypto ETFs
Spot XRP funds are newer and much smaller than the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. The table compares US spot funds using SoSoValue data as of October 30, 2026.
| US spot ETFs | First spot launch | Largest fund (fee) | Largest fund net assets | Total net assets | Cumulative net inflows |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | Jan 11, 2024 | iShares IBIT (0.25%) | $62.1 billion | $98.1 billion | $56.98 billion |
| Ethereum | Jul 23, 2024 | iShares ETHA (0.25%) | $6.9 billion | $13.2 billion | $12.29 billion |
| Solana | Oct 28, 2025 | Bitwise BSOL (0.20%) | $971 million | $1.40 billion | $1.47 billion |
| XRP | Nov 13, 2025 | Bitwise XRP (0.34%) | $516 million | $1.42 billion | $1.81 billion |
Fees are broadly similar. The five spot XRP funds charge 0.19% to 0.50% a year, while IBIT and ETHA charge 0.25% and BSOL charges 0.20%. Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin, Ether and Solana funds (MSBT, MSSE and MSOL) charge 0.14%, below every XRP fund, and Grayscale’s older trusts remain the expensive outliers, at 1.50% for GBTC and 2.50% for ETHE.
Relative to market size, XRP demand is lighter than for Bitcoin or Ether. Cumulative inflows equal about 2.3% of XRP’s $78.4 billion market cap on November 2, against about 3.7% for Bitcoin, 4.5% for Ethereum and 2.7% for Solana, based on CoinMarketCap market caps. XRP funds have, however, drawn more money than the Solana funds that launched about two weeks earlier, and they now hold slightly more.
Yield is another gap. BSOL stakes about 99% of its SOL and reported a net staking reward rate of 5.28% on October 29, 2026, according to Bitwise. XRP has no staking, so spot XRP funds earn no on-chain yield.
What Actually Happened, and Why So Many Launched at Once
Spot XRP ETFs became possible only after the SEC’s long legal fight with Ripple ended in August 2025 and the SEC approved generic listing standards for crypto ETFs in September 2025, which let exchanges list qualifying funds without a separate rule change for each one. REX-Osprey’s XRPR, a 1940 Act fund, arrived first on September 18, 2025, and Canary’s XRPC became the first spot XRP fund structured as a grantor trust on November 13. About $58 million of XRPC shares changed hands on its first day, a 2025 record for an ETF launch, CoinDesk reported.
Bitwise’s XRP ETF debuted on November 20, a day when the spot funds took in about $118 million, and Grayscale’s GXRP and Franklin’s XRPZ followed on November 24, when inflows reached about $164 million, according to SoSoValue. 21Shares’ TOXR completed the group of spot funds on December 11, 2025.
Demand has been uneven since launch. Institutional buyers have moved in and out: Goldman Sachs sold its XRP ETF holdings in the first quarter of 2026 and then rebuilt them, holding $86.5 million across five spot funds on June 30, according to its 13F filings as reported by Crypto Briefing and KuCoin News. Third-quarter filings are due in mid-November. For the latest on how these funds are trading, see today’s XRP news.
XRP ETF Approval: SEC Status and Key Dates
The SEC has cleared XRP ETFs, but not with one approval per fund. On September 17, 2025, it approved generic listing standards from Nasdaq, NYSE Arca and Cboe BZX that let qualifying commodity-based trusts, crypto funds included, list without a separate rule change. That followed the end of the SEC’s case against Ripple: on August 7, 2025, both sides filed to dismiss their appeals, leaving in place a court judgment that fined Ripple about $125 million.
| Date | Milestone |
|---|---|
| Apr 8, 2025 | Teucrium’s 2x XXRP becomes the first US XRP ETF |
| May 22, 2025 | Volatility Shares launches XRPI and XRPT |
| Aug 7, 2025 | The SEC and Ripple file to dismiss their appeals |
| Sep 17, 2025 | The SEC approves generic listing standards |
| Sep 18, 2025 | REX-Osprey’s XRPR launches |
| Nov 13, 2025 | Canary’s XRPC, the first spot XRP trust, opens on Nasdaq |
| Nov 20 to Dec 11, 2025 | Bitwise, Grayscale, Franklin Templeton and 21Shares follow |
| Mar 17, 2026 | An SEC interpretation, joined by the CFTC, lists XRP among digital commodities |
Some products are still waiting. A planned fund built to bet against XRP got a new launch date in September, BeInCrypto reported, and the effective date of GraniteShares’ leveraged XRP funds was pushed to November 30, 2026, CoinGape reported on October 26.
Is There a BlackRock XRP ETF?
No. We found no BlackRock filing for a US XRP ETF as of November 2, 2026, and none of the eleven funds above is an iShares product. BlackRock has never filed for one and has given no timeline, 24/7 Wall St reported on September 30. A 2023 Delaware filing for an “iShares XRP Trust” that briefly lifted XRP’s price turned out to be fake, Bloomberg reported.
Which XRP ETF Is Best?
There is no single best fund, but the spot ETFs differ mainly on cost and size:
- Lowest fee: Franklin’s XRPZ, at 0.19% a year, followed by 21Shares’ TOXR (0.30%), Bitwise (0.34%) and Grayscale’s GXRP (0.35%). Canary’s XRPC charges 0.50%.
- Largest: Bitwise’s XRP ETF, with about $516 million in net assets and the most cumulative inflows. Larger funds usually trade with tighter bid-ask spreads.
- Options: XRPC has listed options, which Amplify’s XRPM uses to generate monthly income.
- Leveraged funds: XRPT, XXRP and UXRP reset their 2x exposure every day, so their returns can drift far from twice XRP’s move over weeks and months. They are built for short-term trading rather than long-term holding.
XRPI Is Different From the Others: Here’s What to Know
Most searches for individual XRP ETF tickers assume every fund works the same way: hold XRP and track its price. That’s true for the spot funds, but not for XRPI.
Volatility Shares’ XRPI launched on Nasdaq on May 22, 2025, the same day as its 2x sibling XRPT. It doesn’t hold spot XRP. Instead, it invests in XRP futures contracts traded on the CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange); on November 2, 2026, its holdings were November CME XRP futures and cash.
XRPI is not a daily-reset fund. It seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that generally correspond to the performance of XRP. Futures roll costs can still make its returns diverge from spot XRP over time, and it costs more than the spot funds, with a total expense ratio of 1.68%. It has also paid monthly distributions in 2026. If you want the most direct XRP price exposure, the spot funds track the asset more closely.
Leveraged XRP ETFs: XRPT, XXRP and UXRP
Three funds offer twice the daily move of XRP. Teucrium’s XXRP was the first XRP ETF of any kind in the US, launching on NYSE Arca on April 8, 2025, and Teucrium later announced a 1-for-10 reverse share split for it. Volatility Shares’ XRPT launched alongside XRPI in May 2025, and ProShares’ Ultra XRP ETF (UXRP), which tracks twice the daily move of the Bloomberg XRP Index, followed on July 14, 2025.
Because they reset daily, these funds can lose value in choppy markets even if XRP ends a period flat, and their costs are high, at about 2.4% to 3.1% a year. In the year to September 30, 2026, XRPT’s net asset value fell 87.7%, while the unleveraged XRPI fell 52.5%, according to Volatility Shares. Leveraged ETFs like these are generally intended for short-term trading.
Grayscale’s GXRP: Trust-to-ETF Conversion Explained
Grayscale’s XRP product has a different history than the others. It started as a private trust in September 2024, the structure Grayscale has long used to offer crypto exposure before spot ETFs existed, and was uplisted to NYSE Arca as an ETF on November 24, 2025. It now charges 0.35% a year.
That conversion matters. Trust shares often trade at a premium or discount to the value of the XRP they hold, while ETFs use a creation and redemption process that keeps the share price close to net asset value; on October 30, GXRP closed 0.14% below its net asset value, according to SoSoValue. On September 29, 2026, GXRP also began accepting in-kind creations and redemptions, which let authorized participants exchange XRP directly for fund shares, and added Anchorage Digital as a custodian, according to a Grayscale filing.
XRP ETFs Outside the US
US investors were not the first to get XRP funds. Brazil’s Hashdex launched XRPH11 on the B3 exchange in April 2025, after the securities regulator CVM approved it, and it was billed as the world’s first spot XRP ETF. Three spot XRP ETFs from 3iQ, Purpose and Evolve began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on June 18, 2025. In Europe, exchange-traded products have tracked XRP for years, including 21Shares’ AXRP on the SIX Swiss Exchange since 2019, CoinShares Physical XRP since 2021 and WisdomTree’s XRPW since 2024. Our earlier reports cover Brazil’s first spot XRP ETF and Canada’s XRP ETF debut, and our altcoin ETF tracker follows funds for other coins.
Benefits and Risks of XRP ETFs
XRP ETFs make XRP as easy to buy as a stock, but they come with costs and limits that owning the token does not.
The main benefits:
- Brokerage access: you can hold XRP exposure in an ordinary brokerage or retirement account, with no crypto exchange, wallet or private keys.
- Professional custody: qualified custodians such as Coinbase Custody, BitGo and Anchorage hold the funds’ XRP.
- Transparency: spot funds publish their net asset value and XRP holdings every trading day. Canary, for example, reported holding about 243.7 million XRP on November 2.
- Low spot fees: the five spot funds charge 0.19% to 0.50% a year.
The main risks:
- Price swings: an ETF does not reduce XRP’s volatility. XRP was down about a third in 2026 as of November 2, according to CoinMarketCap, and Canary’s XRPC lost 36.7% at net asset value from its launch to September 30, 2026.
- Costs and tracking: fees, futures roll costs and small premiums or discounts to net asset value mean returns can trail XRP itself.
- Market hours: XRP trades around the clock, but ETF shares trade only when US exchanges are open, so prices can gap at the open.
- Leverage decay: daily-reset 2x funds can lose far more than twice XRP’s decline over longer periods.
- No on-chain use: fund holders cannot move the XRP to a wallet or use it on the XRP Ledger.
How to Buy an XRP ETF
Every fund on this list trades on a major US exchange (NYSE Arca, Nasdaq or Cboe BZX) during US market hours. You can buy one the same way you’d buy any stock or ETF:
- Open or log in to a brokerage account that offers US-listed ETFs, either a regular account or an IRA if your broker allows crypto funds in it.
- Add money to the account by bank transfer or another method your broker accepts.
- Search for the ticker, for example XRP, XRPC, XRPZ, GXRP or TOXR, and check its fee and structure on the issuer’s page.
- Place a buy order, as you would for any ETF; a limit order caps the price you pay per share.
- Hold the shares in your account, and sell them during market hours when you want to exit.
21Shares, for example, says TOXR can be bought through any US brokerage account that supports ETF trading. Vanguard, which long blocked crypto funds, began letting clients trade ETFs holding XRP, Bitcoin and Solana in December 2025, Bloomberg reported. Some brokers restrict leveraged funds such as XRPT and XXRP.
No crypto wallet, exchange account or private key management is required. The fund’s custodians, such as Coinbase Custody, BitGo and Anchorage, hold the underlying XRP, while your brokerage account holds shares representing your claim on it. XRP itself is not a stock, so searches for “XRP stock” usually lead to these ETFs. If you would rather own the token, our guide on how to buy XRP covers exchanges and wallets.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an XRP ETF?
Yes. Eleven XRP ETFs traded on US exchanges as of November 2, 2026: five spot funds (Bitwise’s XRP, Canary’s XRPC, Franklin’s XRPZ, Grayscale’s GXRP and 21Shares’ TOXR), REX-Osprey’s XRPR, Volatility Shares’ futures-based XRPI, three 2x leveraged funds (XRPT, XXRP and UXRP) and Amplify’s XRPM income fund. The five spot funds held about $1.42 billion on October 30.
What is the best XRP ETF?
It depends on what you want. Franklin’s XRPZ is the cheapest spot fund at 0.19% a year, followed by 21Shares’ TOXR at 0.30%, Bitwise at 0.34%, Grayscale’s GXRP at 0.35% and Canary’s XRPC at 0.50%. Bitwise’s XRP ETF is the largest, with about $516 million in net assets on October 30, 2026. Leveraged funds such as XRPT and XXRP suit only short-term trading.
What is XRPI?
XRPI is Volatility Shares’ XRP ETF, launched on Nasdaq on May 22, 2025. It does not hold XRP; it invests in CME XRP futures and seeks results that generally track the performance of XRP before fees. It is not a daily-reset leveraged fund. Its total expense ratio is 1.68%, and it held about $94 million in net assets on October 30, 2026.
What is XRPC?
XRPC is the Canary XRP ETF, which began trading on Nasdaq on November 13, 2025 as the first US spot XRP ETF structured as a grantor trust. It holds XRP directly, about 243.7 million tokens on November 2, 2026, charges 0.50% a year and had about $303 million in net assets on October 30. Amplify’s XRPM income fund writes options on it.
Has the SEC approved XRP ETFs?
Yes, in effect. After its case against Ripple ended in August 2025, the SEC approved generic listing standards on September 17, 2025, so exchanges could list spot XRP funds without a separate approval for each one. Canary’s XRPC opened on November 13, 2025, and four more spot funds followed by December 11. Some leveraged and inverse XRP funds are still waiting to launch.
Is there a BlackRock XRP ETF?
No. We found no BlackRock filing for a US XRP ETF as of November 2, 2026, and none of the eleven US XRP funds is an iShares product. BlackRock, which runs the largest Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, has given no timeline for one. A Delaware filing for an “iShares XRP Trust” that briefly lifted XRP’s price in November 2023 turned out to be fake.
How much money has gone into XRP ETFs?
US spot XRP ETFs had drawn about $1.81 billion in cumulative net inflows and held $1.42 billion in net assets as of October 30, 2026, according to SoSoValue data. They took in $307.9 million in the third quarter, with August the best month of 2026 at $159.2 million, but October brought only about $19 million as net assets fell with XRP’s price.
How do XRP ETFs compare with other crypto ETFs?
They are far smaller than Bitcoin and Ether funds. On October 30, 2026, US spot Bitcoin ETFs held about $98.1 billion and Ether ETFs $13.2 billion, against $1.42 billion for XRP, according to SoSoValue. XRP funds have drawn more money than Solana funds, $1.81 billion against $1.47 billion. Fees are similar, though Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin fund charges just 0.14%.
Are leveraged XRP ETFs good for long-term holding?
Generally not. XRPT, XXRP and UXRP aim for twice XRP’s daily move and reset every day, so over weeks or months their returns can differ sharply from twice XRP’s performance. In the year to September 30, 2026, XRPT’s net asset value fell 87.7% while the unleveraged XRPI fell 52.5%. They also cost about 2.4% to 3.1% a year.
Where can I buy an XRP ETF?
Through a US brokerage account that supports ETF trading. The funds list on NYSE Arca, Nasdaq or Cboe BZX, so you search for a ticker such as XRPZ, XRPC or GXRP and place an order as you would for a stock. You need no crypto wallet or exchange account. Vanguard, which long blocked crypto funds, began allowing them in December 2025.
What are the benefits and risks of XRP ETFs?
The benefits are XRP price exposure in an ordinary brokerage or retirement account, qualified custodians instead of your own wallet and keys, and spot fund fees of 0.19% to 0.50% a year. The risks are XRP’s volatility, as it was down about a third in 2026 by November 2, fees that trail the token’s return, trading only in market hours and heavy decay in leveraged funds.
What was the first XRP ETF?
In the US, Teucrium’s 2x leveraged XXRP came first, launching on NYSE Arca on April 8, 2025. The first US spot XRP fund structured as a trust was Canary’s XRPC, on November 13, 2025, two months after REX-Osprey’s XRPR, a 1940 Act fund. Worldwide, Brazil’s Hashdex XRPH11, launched on B3 in April 2025, was billed as the first spot XRP ETF.
